Chapter 93
*Seven days later*
It had now been a week since the harrowing battle between the elves and the savage beasts that had abruptly invaded the town for reasons still unclear.
In the days that followed, the town had made remarkable strides in its recovery. Razed-down homes rose once more, rebuilt swiftly with the combined efforts of the townsfolk—including Licht and his family.
Grey hadn't intended to help at first, but Charla's threats left him little choice. Reluctantly, he pitched in—using his wind magic to fell sturdy trees for lumber, levitating heavy stones and compacted earth that were used in the reconstruction efforts.
Though he offered only magical assistance, the elves were deeply grateful. Each time he helped, they responded with generous offerings of food, pressing him to eat.
At first, he declined—but their persistent hospitality eventually wore him down. Over time, he accepted, and his bond with the people flourished.
