Back to the middle school...
The teachers returned to their seats after the coffee break. The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee lingered in the meeting room.
A few of them brought along plates of desserts to the meeting table, including Principal Smith.
"Now," the principal began, his lips curling up softly, "Time to discuss Sports Day."
Lariette, including a few of the teachers, chuckled upon hearing Principal Smith's words. All of them knew Sports Day was one of the most anticipated events every year.
Before summer break started, the excited students began asking about it. The date was already set but, the preparations were still underway.
"They're more excited than usual because we chose to hold it in autumn this year," said Howard, one of the history teachers, as he referred to the students, "Their parents approved too."
Howard's words were welcomed with nods of agreement from his fellow colleagues. Lariette also shared the same thought.
