The soup was rich and comforting, the meat tender enough to melt on her tongue, the rice perfectly fluffy. Even the fruit was fresh and sweet.
"You made all this?" she asked between bites. This was easily the most delicious food she had tasted in her entire life!
He nodded. "Every bit."
She looked up at him in disbelief—and admiration. The more she learned about Riley, the more he surprised her. He wasn't just a beast in bed. He was thoughtful. Capable. Attentive. And now, apparently, an amazing cook too.
"I think I'm falling for you," she said before she could stop herself, her voice soft, almost shy.
Riley's expression shifted—his eyes darkened, not with lust, but with something warmer. He moved to sit on the edge of the bed beside her and reached out to gently brush a crumb from the corner of her mouth.
