Chapter 48: Suppression
After shrinking the Poké Balls containing the seven rescued Pokémon and safely tucking them into his pocket, Victor returned Carbink to its Luxury Ball and climbed back up the ladder to the cabin.
Alakazam, exuding a purple psychic aura while seated cross-legged in mid-air, noticed Victor's return and floated over, asking, "Huhu?"
"How are the children?"
"They're safe," Victor replied. "To ensure their safety, I've temporarily placed them into Poké Balls. Now, we can teleport out and get them to safety."
"Huhu," Alakazam responded, nodding. "Understood. Let's move out immediately."
Alakazam's psychic energy surged, and in an instant, Victor and Alakazam teleported out of the ship.
In a few quick flashes, they arrived at the location where Gardevoir was keeping watch.
Upon seeing them, Gardevoir immediately understood that the rescue mission had been successful. Now, it was time to execute the next phase of Victor's plan.
Gardevoir's green hair began to sway as if moved by an unseen wind. A silvery energy gathered rapidly, and with a burst of light, a dazzling Moonblast shot into the sky, exploding like a signal flare.
The sudden display of light startled the poachers below. Ric, looked up and realized something was amiss.
He wasted no time. Pulling out his Poké Balls, he released his strongest team of Pokémon: Tentacruel, Crawdaunt, Drednaw, Cloyster, Octillery, and Huntail.
These six Pokémon, all professional-level and battle-hardened, had been acquired and strengthened after Ric joined the NOVA Organization and received its resources and training.
Now, they stood ready to defend their operation. Ric clenched his fists, preparing for a confrontation.
Unbeknownst to him, Victor's allies were already descending from above. Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp streaked through the sky, their powerful forms illuminated by the fading signal flare. The battle was about to begin.
After releasing the six Pokémon, Ric saw Flair still in a daze. Furious, he rushed over and kicked Flair in the butt, shouting, "The enemy is here, why are you still standing there!?"
Flair snapped out of his daze and immediately summoned his three Pokémon, though they were only at the elite level.
A ruthless expression appeared on Ric's rough face. He thought, No matter who you are, if you dare to stop me from making money, you'll pay with your life!
Just as Ric was preparing to fight to the death and protect the valuable goods, several figures descended from the sky.
His furious expression froze for a moment, followed by hopelessness.
All he saw was a man wearing a Decade helmet, his figure obscured, riding a Dragonite that exuded gym-level power and dragon energy without holding back.
Alongside the Kamen Rider and Dragonite, there were Gardevoir, Alakazam,Garchomp and Salamence, all releasing gym-level aura.
Under the overwhelming pressure from the five Pokémon's auras, Ric's six professional-level Pokémon, which had been provided by the Nova Organization, were terrified and collapsed on the deck and the sea, unable to move.
Flair's three elite-level Pokémon couldn't withstand the pressure either, and fainted.
Ric's Pokémon were instantly rendered useless, and naturally, Gardevoir and Alakazam's psychic powers took control of the situation.
Though ric, suspended in mid-air by psychic forces, looked terrified, he yelled at VICTOR, "Who are you!"
"I'm just a passing card face, you'd better remember that!" Victor replied with a touch of disappointment.
Initially, he had been worried that these two might have multiple gym-level combatants, so he had planned to sneak in and rescue the seven Pokémon before overpowering them. But to his surprise, these two only had six unstable professional-level Pokémon and three elite-level Pokémon, making his earlier efforts a waste.
"What do you mean? Do you want money? If we sell the goods on my ship, I'll split the profits 50-50!" Ric immediately offered once he realized Victor was talking about something profitable.
By now, he still thought the seven Pokémon were hidden in the cabin.
Victor, not wanting to waste any more time with these scum, ordered Dragonite, Salamence, and Garchomp to use destructive rays, reducing the fishing boat to ashes.
He then instructed Gardevoir and Alakazam to bring the two captives back to the island, where they would be judged by Latios and Latias, dead or alive.
Dragonite carried victor swiftly toward the island where they lived.
With three quasi-legendary Pokémon present, no other flying Pokémon dared to block their way. Their mere presence in the air, flying at high speeds, caused most regular flying Pokémon to immediately lower their altitudes.
After about an hour of flight, a small island came into view.
"Is that the island you live on? Why is it so small..." Victor questioned, his eyes filled with doubt.
Logically, he had expected the island, home to various dragon-type and psychic Pokémon, to be much larger. But this island in front of him was so small it wouldn't even take Dragonite a few minutes to fly around.
"Boooo!"
[Actually, most of our people live in a secret realm governed by Master Latios and Master Latias. Only a few of us live outside.]
Understanding victor's doubts, Dragonite explained.
Victor quickly realized that mythical Pokémon often governed secret realms. The secret realm where carbink was born was likely controlled by Xerneas and Yveltal.
However, Dragonite did not take victor into the secret realm. By this time, the parents of the kidnapped baby Pokémon were anxiously waiting on the island.
"Boooo~"
Gradually descending toward the island, Dragonite slowed down and landed with a strong gust of wind.
After victor disembarked, he immediately took out seven Poké Balls.
He released Dratini, Bagon, Gible, Ralt, Abra, and Hatenna, watching as these little Pokémon ran toward their parents, crying.
Victor then walked slowly to a small lake, took off his Imperial Cavalry helmet, and released Feebas from its Poké Ball.
