Taking her room card and luggage, Hiratsuka Shizuka followed the two toward the elevator.
"I chatted with your mom for a bit. I didn't expect her to have self-studied Japanese, and she's even visited you here," Hiratsuka said with a smile. "She asked me a little about your school life, but what really surprised me was that she already knew about you and Utaha—and she even approves? Are you two planning to get married right after high school?"
"That won't happen."
Ichin shook his head. "In China, men have to be at least 22 to get married, so at the earliest, it'd have to wait until I'm in university."
Even though he said that, it still felt like a huge blow to Hiratsuka.
She was nearly 30 and hadn't even been in a relationship, while her two students, who hadn't even graduated high school yet, had already introduced each other to their parents.
Wasn't the gap a little too big?
But then she glanced at Haruno beside her, and her mood improved a little.
"Shizuka, I get the feeling you're thinking about something bad," Haruno said, narrowing her eyes.
Hiratsuka clapped her hands together calmly. "You're overthinking. Nothing of the sort. By the way, we're rooming together, right?"
"It's a three-person room. Hazuki-san is with us too."
"Oh, her? That's fine. We can have a little drinking session and chat tonight."
In Ichin's studio, Hazuki was the oldest—around the same age as Hiratsuka—and also single, so they'd probably have a lot in common to talk about.
When the elevator reached the eighth floor, Hiratsuka and Haruno headed to their room while Ichin returned to his with Utaha.
Upon entering, he found that Utaha hadn't fallen asleep but was lying on the bed playing with her phone.
"Couldn't sleep?"
"Yeah."
Putting her phone down, Utaha turned onto her side and looked at him. "Hiratsuka-sensei arrived?"
"Yeah, she's in her room now."
Slipping on the hotel's provided slippers, Ichin lay down beside her. "Let's have lunch at the hotel restaurant. The food here is decent. We can go out for dinner later."
"Sure, I'm not picky about food."
Utaha shifted her position, resting her head on Ichin's chest. Her fingers gently traced his jawline as she smirked. "Ichin, which swimsuit do you want to see me wear this afternoon? I brought three."
"You brought three?"
Ichin caught her hand and looked at her curiously. "I can understand bringing two, but that third one… that's not exactly something you can wear at the beach, is it?"
"But I can wear it in the room~!"
With a swift movement, Ichin flipped her onto her back, propping himself up above her with one hand. "You know we're supposed to be heading to lunch soon, right?"
Utaha's eyes half-lidded, her cheeks slightly flushed as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I just checked—the bathtub in the bathroom looks pretty nice. After sitting in the car for so long, I feel like taking a bath first."
Well… looked like something had to happen before lunch.
Ichin's gaze softened as he looked down at Utaha, her playful suggestion sparking a warmth in his chest. He leaned down, capturing her lips in a slow, lingering kiss, tasting the anticipation on her breath.
"Let's make it quick then," he murmured against her lips, a playful challenge in his voice. Utaha giggled, her fingers threading through his hair as she pulled him closer, deepening the kiss.
The two of them stumbled into the bathroom, laughter mixing with the sound of running water as they turned on the taps. The room filled with steam, and Utaha quickly shed her clothes, stepping into the warm bath. Ichin followed suit, his eyes roaming appreciatively over her form as she settled into the water.
"Come here," Utaha beckoned, her voice a soft purr. Ichin stepped into the bath, the water lapping gently around them as he joined her. He pulled her close, the warmth of the water mingling with the heat of their bodies.
Utaha's hands roamed over his chest, her fingers tracing the lines of his muscles as she pressed herself against him. Ichin's hands found her waist, pulling her into his lap. The water splashed around them, the sound a soft melody to the rising tension between them.
Their kisses grew more urgent, more demanding. Utaha gasped as Ichin's hands slipped lower, caressing her thighs before finding their way to more intimate places. She arched into his touch, her breath hitching as he explored her with deft, knowing fingers.
"Ichin," she breathed, her voice thick with desire. He responded by capturing her mouth again, his tongue dancing with hers as he positioned himself. With a slow, deliberate movement, he entered her, the sensation sending waves of pleasure through both of them.
The water around them surged with their movements, the warmth amplifying every sensation. Ichin set a rhythm, his hips moving in sync with hers, their bodies perfectly attuned to each other. Utaha's nails dug into his back, her moans growing louder as the pressure built within her.
"Faster," she urged, and Ichin complied, his thrusts becoming more forceful, more desperate. The room echoed with their gasps and the splash of water, the air thick with the scent of their arousal.
As they neared their peak, Utaha's body tensed, her climax crashing over her like a wave. Ichin followed moments later, his release a powerful surge that left them both trembling in the afterglow.
They stayed like that, wrapped in each other's arms, the water cooling around them. Utaha rested her head on Ichin's shoulder, her breathing slowly returning to normal.
"We should probably get to lunch now," she whispered, a satisfied smile playing on her lips.
Ichin chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Yeah, but I think we deserved that appetizer."
With a shared laugh, they stepped out of the bath, ready to continue their day, the memory of their intimate moment lingering between them.
By noon, everyone gathered outside their rooms, ready to head for lunch together.
When Hajime saw Hiratsuka Shizuka walking out alongside Hazuki and Haruno, she waved excitedly. "Hiratsuka-sensei, hello!"
"Hello, everyone," Hiratsuka greeted with a smile. "I'll be intruding on you all for the next few days."
"Not at all, not at all!" Hajime formed a V-sign with her fingers and grinned. "The more, the merrier!"
Aoba looked around and asked curiously, "Where are Ichin-kun and Utaha? Why aren't they out yet?"
Just as she finished speaking, the door to Ichin's room opened, and the two of them strolled out leisurely.
Seeing Utaha, who had changed into a fresh outfit, her face slightly flushed and her damp hair still drying, Nene asked curiously, "Utaha, did you take a bath just now?"
Utaha smiled and nodded. "Yeah, after the long car ride, I soaked in the bath for a bit to relax."
Hiratsuka's gaze shifted between Ichin and Utaha before she suddenly clicked her tongue and said with a hint of jealousy, "I get that you're young, but you should still pay attention to the time—it's broad daylight, you know."
Her words hit the group like a thunderclap, instantly turning several faces red. Only Hazuki and Haruno remained unfazed.
Eriri's eyes widened in shock. "You two are way too bold! We just got to the hotel!"
Sakura Nene covered her face with both hands, though she left gaps between her fingers to peek at them. "So this is what the world of real adults is like?"
Umiko was the quickest to recover. Clearing her throat, she muttered, "Ahem… well, just… be careful."
Ichin sighed at everyone's reactions and shot an exasperated look at Hiratsuka.
"Are you all seriously this embarrassed? Look, nothing happened between us. Sure, Utaha and I share a close relationship, but there's no reason to overthink things. There's only one bathroom in the room, so we just bathed together. That's it. Stop making weird assumptions."
He wasn't even lying. If they had gone all the way—including showering, drying hair, and everything else—half an hour wouldn't have been enough. He wasn't exactly some kind of speedster.
Utaha, completely unfazed, found everyone's reactions rather amusing. She nodded with a playful smile. "That's right~ Half an hour wouldn't be nearly enough. Ichin's stamina is really good, after all."
With that, the already blushing girls turned an even deeper shade of red. Even Ko Yagami and Rin Toyama, who had remained quiet, looked like their faces were about to catch fire.
At this point, Hiratsuka started regretting bringing up the topic. Clapping her hands together, she quickly changed the subject. "Alright, enough of that! Let's go get some lunch. Move it!"
It wasn't until they arrived at the hotel restaurant that the girls finally calmed down.
After ordering a huge variety of dishes, the group began their meal.
Surprisingly, Haruno didn't sit next to her sister this time. Instead, she took a seat beside Utaha.
As she ate a piece of sushi, Haruno leaned in close and whispered something in Utaha's ear.
Hearing Haruno's question, Utaha looked at her in surprise. Then, after glancing at Ichin, who was quietly focusing on his food, she leaned in and whispered a reply.
Once she got her answer, Haruno's expression turned into one of utter shock. She nodded thoughtfully, gave Utaha a thumbs-up, and went back to eating as if nothing had happened.
On the other side of the table, Hiratsuka, who had been watching their little exchange, tilted her head in confusion before giving up and focusing on her seafood ramen.
Well, if nothing else, the variety of food in this restaurant was pretty impressive.
After a satisfying meal, no one felt like taking a break. Instead, they decided to head to the beach, though they didn't immediately change into their swimsuits.
Hazuki went back to her room first to grab Mozuku, her pet dog, before meeting up with the others. Once everyone was gathered, they made their way to the shore.
The vast expanse of the blue ocean stretched endlessly before them, the salty sea breeze filling the air. Everyone's spirits instantly lifted at the sight.
Taking a deep breath, Hiratsuka patted her cheeks and declared, "Alright! Let's go explore!"
