Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: The Island Purchased

Oboro lay alone on the ground for almost an hour before he slowly got up.

The main reason he had been able to fight Netero for so long this time was the development of his Nen. This had led to a qualitative improvement in his overall attributes, both offensive and defensive.

But in terms of combat experience and judgment, not only Oboro, but perhaps no one in the entire Hunter world could compare to Netero.

However, once his physical abilities had improved further and his mental abilities had been fully developed, Oboro was certain that even if the old man didn't hold back, he wouldn't be easily defeated.

Even against the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva.

At least he could hold out for a while without being killed instantly.

That is, if the old man's condition hadn't fully recovered.

During these three months, Oboro had integrated several traditional martial arts recommended by the system, including techniques for training the back, abdomen, and thighs - five disciplines in all.

With his previous training experience and foundation, he'd grasped them quickly this time, improving his skills through high-intensity combat, but to fully master them and achieve perfect integration with his body would take at least another year.

What surprised him was that the system had recommended an unexpected technique by analyzing his 'Nen' system.

Acupressure and Meridian Manipulation.

These were actually two different techniques combined into one skill.

This technique was the result of system calculations, specifically deduced and improved to complement his "Nen".

Therefore, it was somewhat different from the acupressure Oboro had known in his previous life.

For the acupressure to be effective, his telekinetic abilities had to reach extreme proficiency with perfect control. The 'hardness' aspect could unleash 100% attack power to break through an opponent's Nen defenses, allowing the acupressure to take effect.

At the same time, the "flow" had to be maintained.

When applying acupressure, attacks concentrated in the hands left other parts of the body vulnerable to counterattack, requiring Oboro to react faster than his opponents.

His window for executing a technique was extremely limited; if an opponent caught him mid-technique, he'd be in danger.

Therefore, he needed to practice until his acupressure and meridian manipulation became incredibly fast while maintaining a thorough defense.

In addition, he needed a thorough knowledge of human anatomy and pressure points.

Acupressure caused physiological reactions in flesh and tissues such as paralysis, pain, and disruption of aura flow. Meridian manipulation damaged tendons, bones, and vessels, causing widespread structural disruption and triggering a "temporary collapse" of respiration, aura circulation, and blood flow, ultimately preventing targets from controlling their own "Nen".

In game terms, it temporarily seals the MP bar and prevents the use of skills.

Of course, the effectiveness of both techniques depended on the target's own physical resistance.

The stronger the person, the less effective the techniques would be.

These three months of growth had been crucial for Oboro.

Before, he had stood at the foot of the mountain and looked up at the old man at the top.

Now, he had climbed halfway up.

To be able to fight with such a powerful opponent on a daily basis was itself a form of basic training.

A week later, the Fells received news.

Oboro was returning.

Early in the morning, David made preparations and led the family guards and several gang leaders to stand in the palace courtyard to await Oboro's arrival.

The Shadow Beast Earthworm followed behind him.

Recently, several Shadow Beasts, led by Owl, had teamed up to kill a spider. This incident had attracted attention within the gang, and Earthworm had heard about it.

Since he'd never met Oboro, he'd asked Owl about the situation, including why they'd only killed one spider.

In his opinion, the Troupe members were just a bit more tricky than normal Nen users with some special abilities; with five companions, they could have killed several more.

Sick Dog and Bat had said that the Troupe members had fled in fear, otherwise why hadn't they taken revenge after such a long time?

They obviously didn't dare.

Porcupine had mentioned that after killing the Spider, Oboro seemed to have deliberately created a distraction, allowing Owl to lead them on a hunt for the Troupe, but they were sent in the wrong direction and found nothing, so the Troupe members had slipped away, preventing them from taking advantage.

However, given Oboro's position, they hadn't dared to voice these thoughts.

They'd consulted their leader, Owl, who had told them not to interfere with Oboro's plans.

As Earthworm pondered this, he noticed a figure appear at the entrance to the square, under the towering portico.

He wore a black suit, typical mafia attire, no tie, white shirt open at the collar, and sunglasses.

Short hair.

Very young.

Standard Mafia outfit, except for the surprising age.

The other Ten Dons were no longer young.

"Watch your eyes," David's voice reached Earthworm's ears, snapping him out of his daze.

As David bowed to the approaching man, hundreds of core members of the Fells family followed suit, bowing their heads in respect.

Quite the spectacle.

"Welcome back."

At the front of the line, Lily, seated in her wheelchair, listened to the approaching footsteps and chuckled.

Oboro's lips curved into a smile as he hugged her.

He nodded at David as he stood up.

His gaze fell on Earthworm.

'Rather unsightly.

Couldn't he wear some decent clothes?

Nearly naked in broad daylight, wearing only briefs, really.'

Oboro used his fingers to slightly lift his sunglasses, revealing his eyes as he stared at the Phantom Beast.

Eyes narrowed

In an instant, Earthworm's expression changed drastically. He felt as if an invisible hand was gripping his heart, ready to crush it at any moment.

His aura shifted instantly.

Like a wolf cub facing a lion in the jungle.

The approaching lion made the wolf cub lie on his stomach, whimpering, submissive and weak.

Before Earthworm realized it, he had instinctively lowered his head and bent at the waist.

Sweat dripped down his cheeks facing the ground.

Pupils dilated.

Fearful, helpless.

He didn't dare look at the leather shoes slowly approaching.

The man stopped in front of him and said coldly, "Get dressed.

"Yes."

Earthworm's mouth was dry as he swallowed before responding obediently.

Then David and the gang leaders crowded into the palace. Only when the man's presence had completely faded did Earthworm greedily gulp down some air.

This was the legendary one.

Even though they had been genetically modified with drugs, they didn't seem to exist in the same dimension.

Could an ordinary human body be so powerful?

In the luxurious palace.

Oboro casually claimed the most prominent sofa.

David stood behind him and resumed his role as 'steward'.

"How is the training of the new recruits going?"

Oboro took off his sunglasses and asked.

"All have been sent to the island, most have awakened their Nen. In addition, construction has begun on the island according to your specifications," Mondel, the guard captain, replied promptly.

Oboro didn't need to personally teach the Nen.

His job was to guide these newcomers in developing their Nen skills.

The islands Mondel mentioned were scattered near the six continents. While many mainland areas belonged to various powers or countries, these islands, large and small, were often unclaimed and undeveloped.

Easy enough to buy

The island purchased by the Fells family was small, nowhere near the scale of the "Greed Island" created by Ging Freecss Oboro only needed a game map that provided space for combat without incorporating many additional elements.

His goal was different from Ging's.

"Before developing their Nen abilities, I had them master the basics," Mondel reported. "Most are conjurers and specialists, followed by transmuters and manipulators. Emitters and enhancers are the minority."

"Good."

Oboro nodded. "The Enhancement types aren't that important. They'll mainly serve as island guards, maintaining player order and the rules of the game."

Mondel didn't understand his meaning.

Even now, Mondel had no idea what Oboro was planning, he was just following orders.

"Let's inspect the island."

After some discussion, Oboro got up to leave.

"Leaving already?"

Lily laughed.

"Just arrived.

"Unless something unexpected happens, I'll be staying on the island for the next year," Oboro said.

He left the hall.
