Isolde rolled her eyes before reluctantly agreeing Isolde allowed Lorren to guide her through the crowded hall, the warmth of the room and the buzz of conversation slowly easing her tension. They approached the refreshment table, where a variety of wines and delicacies were laid out. A servant in a crisp white uniform bowed to them, offering a tray of golden goblets filled with a deep red wine. Isolde accepted one, the cool liquid soothing her throat as she took a sip.

 "Would you like another one miss?" Isolde winced as the pungent taste of the alcohol coated her throat.

"Keep them coming," Lorren responded with a wink.

As Isolde lowered her goblet, she noticed a familiar face approaching them. It was Elias, his eyes reflecting the warm glow of the hall's chandeliers. He bowed slightly to both of them, a polite smile on his lips. "Ladies," he greeted, his voice smooth and calm. "I couldn't help but notice the commotion earlier. Is everything well?"
