Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: Cross-Over_2

Upon opening the title page, Yue Xiaoqi only glimpsed a few blank pages, her attention caught by the oddity of the book in hand, which led to a moment of oversight regarding Zhen Ni's actions.

The defenses of the American forces were activated in mere seconds, and amidst a barrage of bullets, Zhen Ni's crazed laughter echoed in Yue Xiaoqi's ears.

Zhen Ni, her psychology twisted by jealousy, raged wildly, "Yue Xiaoqi, aren't you the top-ranked female spy internationally? Today, not even wings could help you escape. If not for you, Liao's most beloved would be me, I would be the top-ranked female spy internationally. Yue Xiaoqi, go to hell."

Yue Xiaoqi, a mysterious female spy who mingled within the realms of both the underworld and the lawful, wandering under the sun and the moonlight.

She was spontaneous, arrogant, proud, and resolute.

Even when betrayed by an ally, under a hail of bullets, she remained calm and collected, unblinkingly shooting at the suicide pin she always carried on her person, inside which was a bomb potent enough to bring down an entire building.

Zhen Ni's scream of terror before her death and the pleas of the soldiers provided Yue Xiaoqi with a sense of satisfaction even in death.

As a female spy, one could encounter unexpected dangers at any time.

Even if that female spy was named Yue Xiaoqi, the most legendary female spy of the Huaxia Alliance, who since debuting at fifteen had never failed.

The bomb exploded, her body torn to pieces, blood gushing out; in that instant, her blood spilled onto the Mo Xi Treasure Book she was holding.

A hollow and distant voice, as if from beyond the heavens, echoed in her ears: "Congratulations, you have successfully activated the Mo Xi Treasure Book."

The moment she regained consciousness, messy and sorrowful fragments of memory flooded into Yue Xiaoqi's mind.

Traveling through time? Rebirth? A deluge of information flashed like lightning into Yue Xiaoqi's brain.

She hadn't died but had entered someone else's body.

Living on an unknown continent outside of Earth, within the body of a woman named Yue Jinghua.

As a top spy, Yue Xiaoqi quickly filtered out a few pieces of information that were most useful to her at the moment.

Who was the rightful owner of this body, why had it been seized and transported here, and how to escape this predicament?

Name: Yue Jinghua

Family background: A legitimate daughter of a declining noble family in the Dragon War Empire, naturally beautiful and talented from a young age.

Personal history: Began learning martial arts at the age of three, condensed Dark Energy at seven, reached the Dark Human level at ten and became a Dark Martial Artist, broke through to the Dark Human Ninth Layer at thirteen.

Also at thirteen, Yue Jinghua was poisoned and disfigured, her Dantian was damaged, unable to condense Dark Energy anymore, and her cultivation fell below the Dark Human level.

At fifteen, her father, Duke Xue Ying, went missing after the family went bankrupt due to poor management. Yue Jinghua, along with her mother and younger brother, sought refuge with her maternal grandfather in Shang Kingdom.

The region where Yue Jinghua resided was known as Hundred Beast Mountain. The reason she was there was to participate with her companions in the entrance examination of the Royal Capital Xuanji Academy.

Not long after entering Hundred Beast Mountain, Yue Jinghua encountered an attack by these mercenaries disguised as bandits. Not a single one of her comrades was willing to lend a hand, and she was fatally wounded in an attack by a female mercenary, dying quietly without a sound.

The memories came to a grinding halt, and the male voice in front of her buzzed like a fly.

"Fair-skinned and tender, women from noble families are truly enchanting," Qi Feng uttered a grunting sound.

The grunting quickly turned into a series of agonizing howls. In an instant, Qi Feng felt an excruciating pain in his lower body and instinctively leaped backward. A burst of white light emerged from within him, and his body began to develop rocky armor-like formations.

Although the body Yue Jinghua possessed was ruined, given her noble birth, she was still knowledgeable.

The white light emanating from Qi Feng indicated he was using the 'Rockification' martial art skill of a Third Level Dark Human Martial Artist, which could turn his skin as hard as rock in a short amount of time, making it difficult for ordinary punches, kicks, swords, and daggers to damage him.

A quick decisive battle was necessary; she could not allow him to complete his rockification.

A pair of elbows, like iron rods emerging from the ground, struck Qi Feng's knees ruthlessly just before the white light fully formed.

Gathering Dark Energy to form a martial skill took some time, and during this interval, Qi Feng was at his weakest, causing him to stagger and kneel down.

"Bang bang bang," a rapid succession of elbow strikes, fast and fierce, hit his knees, abdomen, chest, and neck as if the elbows had eyes.

Qi Feng fell backward, and in an instant the woman leapt up. A glint of light shone at her waist, and the Dagger she had attached there slashed with a cold gleam, followed by the hiss of blood.

Both mercenaries simultaneously gasped, instinctively guarding their groins, but it was already too late. Qi Feng rolled on the ground in agony.

This woman had ruthlessly vicious methods.

With her back against the night, her face was shaded by her messy hair, leaving only a pair of bright, wild, and ferocious eyes visible.

Yue Xiaoqi's mind raced: three adult male enemies, around 175 cm in height, all trained fighters.

One temporarily incapacitated, the remaining two of lesser skill, could be dealt with in half a minute.

Before the two mercenaries could react, the woman vanished again in a blur of movement.

Yue Jinghua, scorned as useless, attacked the two mercenaries up close, spinning like a top wound up with tension.

Another powerful elbow to the face of the mercenary on the left, a cracking sound indicated a broken nose, as blood and snot mixed together.

"Pfft pfft," ten jade-like slender fingers pierced the eye sockets of the mercenary on the right, eyeballs bursting out, blurring his vision instantly.

Striking from both sides, she grabbed the necks of the two burly men, "boom" a loud noise again.

The two mercenaries, who were full of life moments ago, now lay limp on the ground, their faces a bloody mess beyond recognition.

Every move was fatally venomous, whether it was a groin strike, bone smashing, or eye gouging.

Qi Feng struggled to his feet, only to see Yue Jinghua, once called "useless," quickly, fiercely, and precisely downing his two subordinates. His look finally changed from initial disdain to fear.

After dealing with the two men, Yue Xiaoqi was slightly surprised; Yue Jinghua's body was surprisingly useful. Whether it was her jumping ability or strength, she was able to execute all the martial skills she had learned in her previous life smoothly. The only shortcoming was that she could not use her Dantian for breathing during combat.

However, before she could figure out the issues with this body, she still needed to properly "attend to" Qi Feng and the hidden hand behind him.

An unavenged grudge was not in Yue Xiaoqi's nature.

"What... what do you want," Qi Feng stuttered, watching the ghostly faced "Yue Jinghua" approach step by step, an unclear smile played across her cheeks, blooming like an enchanting Mandala swaying in the night.

Who said Yue Jinghua was an incompetent who couldn't gather Dark Energy? The moves she used just now were lethal each and every one, she was hardly the rookie coming to Hundred Beast Mountain for a trial; she was clearly a street thug adept in various fighting techniques.
