Tian Lin had just closed his room door when the older maid came knocking.

Beneath the thirty Low Grade Spirit Stones were a white robe with golden edges, and on top of the robe lay a silver waist plate.
Before Tian Lin could speak, the young man already said, "Tian Daoist, this is from the Great Elder for you to take."
Tian Lin only took the silver waist plate and refused to accept the clothes and Spirit Stones on the transmission plate:
"I have not merited any reward; I'm already troubled by freeloading and would feel guilty to take anything more from your esteemed house."
