Tian Lin vaguely saw the figure of a girl in green, and sure enough, saw her bringing a food container up to the platform. She asked him, "So it was you. Tell me, what did you see after ascending to the ninety-ninth step?"

The girl in green said, "The stone steps under the first platform are meant for people like you who lack True Qi. We cannot see the ordeals you undergo in the illusion. For us, the stone steps of the first section of the Immortal Ladder are nothing but ordinary steps."

If he had been at the Qi Cultivation first level, he would only have encountered the illusion upon ascending the second set of steps.
