Mountain Eagle hadn't fully understood, but he had sorted out the basic logic...
The defection of Snowden was big news, and the information he held was invaluable to intelligence agencies.
This guy's whereabouts were public now; he flew from Hong Kong Island to Moscow and then got stuck in the transit area because the United States had canceled his passport.
Many people would think that the United States would kill him at all costs, but in reality, the scandal exposed by Snowden targeted the United States Government, and according to American law, the Prism project itself was unconstitutional.
Now that the scandal has been exposed, it is the President of the United States and Congress that are under scrutiny, not an individual or special interest group.
The reality is so ironic. If the stuff in Snowden's possession could cause fatal damage to a particular interest collective or a capital spokesperson, then there would certainly be many Assassins out to kill him at all costs.
