The drops of water sounded off within the cave, creating momentary sounds within the silence of the cavern. The buzz from the fall ringed in Iris' ears as she slowly opened her eyes, the ground was cold and wet, seemingly dazed from the fall, she slowly began to rise to her feet. The sound of the drips of water in between her pants of breath became louder as she noticed the darkness that filled the area she was in.
"...Where did…"
She glanced around until she felt on her hip that her bag wasn't there anymore. She assumed it must be close since it didn't take too long to fall. Her mind raced quickly, thinking about what had happened before until noticing a figure laying close to her. Their body stretched along the ground, seemingly adjusting to the area as well, with pained groans.
"Ah…that's gonna hurt in the morning…or now."
She paced over quickly to Dante, who seemed to take a brunt of the damage during the fall, as she recalled him grabbing her before they hit the water. She looked over his body. As she searched, she noted 3 large gashes covering his back, causing her to gasp. They seemed to have festered since they landed, but the color was slowly beginning to change to a purplish shade. He gave off a small smile as he reassured her calmly.
"Is that…poison!?"
"It's okay, I'm just glad you're okay."
"Yeah, but you–!"
"Really, it's fine…I still have my potions…"
He slowly reached to his pouch before realizing during the fall, the vial given to him had shattered within the pouch. Causing him to groan softly from the disappointing realization. She went to reach for her bag, until realizing it wasn't on her anymore. She frowned before turning to Dante with a disappointed look on her face.
