Chapter 39 - Part 2 "Infinite Echoes"

Kael vs Elirion – Part 2: Infinite Echoes

The skies of the Sky Kingdom were now covered by dark storms. As Elirion's endless light collided with Kael's darkness, the sky trembled in shades of black and gold. This was not merely a battle. This was a destruction that shaped existence itself.

Kael had fallen to his knees. His chest pierced by Elirion's light spear, his surroundings echoed with every scream, each one a memory—Mara's laughter, Elira's tiny hands, his mother's songs… They all flickered in his mind, yet the darkness within still kept him standing.

"Elirion... I'm still here…" he muttered through lips stained with blood.

Elirion stood tall before him. He had assumed Kael's face, nearly identical in form. But in his eyes, something was missing—humanity.

"Goodbye, Kael. The destruction created by your own fate has swallowed you," Elirion said, walking toward the sky. Each of his steps shattered the earth beneath him, obliterating the Royal star towers.

But the darkness within Kael… was no longer just a power, it was a pact. The moment had arrived.

Time slowed. Everything fell silent. It was as if all beings were holding their breath. From the sky, a black flame-covered, ancient and decayed chain pierced Kael's chest. And a voice… "Are you ready? To pay the price of your death?"

Kael lifted his head. His eyes suddenly turned pitch black, but within them remained a single red line—his family's revenge.

"I'm ready."

And in that instant, Kael's body shattered. The endless bonds torn from his soul were cast into the heavens. Along with the screams that echoed beyond time, Kael's life was taken. But it was not a death—it was a transformation. In the deepest pits of Hell, the ancient spirits fell silent. Because the King was returning.

A black light descended upon the peak of the Sky Kingdom. As Elirion turned his head, a figure appeared within that light. It was not Kael. But it was something that had risen from beyond death, a figure who had become the ruler of Hell.

Black blood flowed from his eyes, and red flames rose from his shoulders. The weapon he carried was no longer a sword, but a chain woven with curses. With every link, Kael's vengeance echoed.

Elirion squinted his eyes. "...You… this is impossible."

The answer came, like an echo:

"You killed me, Elirion... but I am no longer 'alive.' And now, that ends you."
