A month passed quickly.
The weight on Law's body had increased to 300 kilograms, and his round-trip travel time had been reduced from seventeen hours to just two.
During this process, the number of round trips gradually increased to six, and the number of push-ups eventually increased to one thousand.
The high-intensity training each day allowed Law to keenly feel the changes in his body.
For the first two weeks, Law needed Cookie's massage every day to relieve his muscle soreness. However, after that, he no longer required it, which is proof that his body had adapted to the rigorous training regimen.
Once traversing the swampy terrain became effortless, it signaled the end of this training phase.
That night, after completing his thousand push-ups, Law unstrapped the weights from his body and tossed them aside.
Today's dinner is still roasted Great Stamp. It should be said that Law's food for the whole month is all Great Stamp. According to Biscuit, there are many Great Stamp here, so they are easy to get, and the meat is enough to fill him up.
Despite eating it every day, Law never got tired of it. After all, it was a D-level ingredient, so it remained delicious no matter how often he consumed it.
Law sat on the ground, picked up a whole boar with one hand, and started to eat it.
That was his pure physical strength and there's no Aura involved.
During this month, Law didn't use his Aura even once, so it would take another five months to remove the seal.
"Biscuit, isn't it time to change locations?"
Law asked while chewing on a piece of meat.
"Yeah." Biscuit nodded.
This is the outskirts of the Milsy Wetlands, and the only usable place for training is muddy land. Since Law had conquered it, it was indeed time to change location.
"Where to next?" Law swallowed a mouthful of meat and asked.
Biscuit raised her hand and pointed to the depths of the Milsy Wetlands, where the density of trees noticeably increased. The area was frequently shrouded in mist and teeming with dangerous creatures.
…
The next morning, the three of them ventured into the depths of the wetlands. Thick fog enveloped the area, providing an excellent hunting environment for many creatures that are good at hiding.
If it were Law a month ago, he would have felt a little uneasy going deep into the foggy Milsy Wetlands without being able to use his Aura.
But now, even though he is carrying a 300-kilogram weight, he is still very confident.
With Biscuit and Sanbica by his side, and the ever-watchful Black Cat lurking nearby, they managed to eliminate any threats along the way. The only thing that annoyed Law was how Black Cat snatched a few kills, adding more black pages to his book.
Law had no idea where Biscuit was leading them, so he simply followed along. After walking quickly for more than an hour, the thick fog began to dissipate, revealing an increasingly lush and verdant landscape.
Every towering tree was intertwined with vines of varying shapes, each as thick as an arm.
"Hold on a second."
While moving through the forest, Law spotted several objects covered in green moss along the roadside and called the group to stop.
He walked closer and saw that it was stone pillar totem statues less than half a meter tall. Despite being heavily covered in moss, the exaggerated facial expressions carved into them were still discernible.
Biscuit initially thought Law had found something significant, but it turned out to be just stone pillar totem statues scattered throughout the forest.
These stone pillar totem statues are a relic of a tribe that once lived in the Milsy Wetlands. The tribe had placed these totems around their settlement to ward off outsiders.
However, the tribe was eventually wiped out by the unforgiving ecosystem of Milsy Wetlands. No traces of their dwellings remained, and only these totem pillars stood as silent reminders of their existence.
Law initially thought the totem statues were some kind of mysterious clue, but Biscuit's explanation quickly dispelled his imagination.
As they resumed their journey, Law indeed spotted more totem statues along the way.
The three of them walked briskly for another two hours and finally arrived at a lake.
The think fog had cleared, revealing lush greenery all around. Towering trees stood proudly, and several massive boulders lay scattered beside them.
"It's time for the next training exercise."
Biscuit untied a long, thick vine from a nearby tree and secured it to a massive boulder weighing several hundred kilograms, instantly crafting a new training tool.
The previous swamp training primarily strengthened Law's leg muscles and stability, while the upcoming exercise focused on his arm strength.
Looking at the vine and the boulder, Law asked, "What are we doing with this?"
Biscuit smirked and replied, "Fishing."
"Fishing?" Law was puzzled.
Biscuit tossed the other end of the vine to Law and explained, "This vine is a special plant from the Milsy Wetlands. It's incredibly tough and can withstand over a ton of weight. If the tension exceeds that, it can hold for an hour before snapping."
Law was totally confused and had no idea what this had to do with his next training.
Biscuit didn't bother explaining further. She instructed Sanbica to clear an area nearby. After all, they might have to stay here for at least a month, so they had to build a temporary shelter.
After Sanbica went to work, Biscuit took the vine from Law, then lifted the huge boulder tied to the other end of the vine and threw it into the lake, about ten meters away from the shore.
After throwing the boulder, Biscuit held the vine with one hand and stared at the rippling water.
Law watched from the side, still trying to comprehend how 'fishing' made any sense in this context, 'That was a massive boulder, there really be fish in the lake that would take the bait?'
Three minutes later, ripples appeared on the once-calm lake surface. Suddenly, the water churned violently, and the vine in Biscuit's hand snapped taut, just like a fish taking the bait.
'You've got to be kidding me… There are actually fish that like to eat rocks?' Seeing this scene, Law was dumbfounded. If the bait had been a Great Stamp, he might have understood, but a giant rock?
The vine stretched tight, and Biscuit began pulling it back.
The lake water churned wildly, and soon, a massive dark silhouette surfaced beneath the water, thrashing violently in an attempt to resist the pulling force.
However, against Biscuit's brute strength, any struggle was meaningless. The unknown creature in the lake was dragged to the shore by Biscuit.
It turned out to be an enormous mutant fish, resembling an oversized salamander but without limbs. Instead, it had large, wide fins along its belly and back.
The boulder Biscuit had thrown was now deeply embedded in the wrinkles on the strange fish's forehead.
Law examined the creature closely and noticed it had no visible mouth, just a large expanse of wrinkled skin covering its head.
After the strange fish came ashore, it still had plenty of energy. It jumped around and created gusts of strong wind.
Biscuit casually walked over and delivered a precise kick to the fish's lower jaw. The boulder dislodged from its forehead, and the fish was sent flying back into the lake.
"You can start fishing now. Just hold on for an hour."
Biscuit threw one end of the vine to Law, and then walked towards Sanbica to help set up the wooden cabin.
With Biscuit's personal demonstration, Law now understood the meaning of 'fishing'.
He took hold of the vine and threw the boulder into the lake, waiting for the next strange fish to take the bait.
Even without Biscuit's reminder, Law was well aware of the challenge ahead.
It must be known that when Biscuit pulled the strange fish up just now, she used her Aura to strengthen herself, which means that it is not easy to pull this strange fish out of the lake.
Before long, another fish took the bait.
Law had no idea why these creatures were obsessed with swallowing rocks, but the moment the vine snapped tight, an overwhelming force yanked him forward.
Law's expression changed instantly, and his body was suddenly pulled forward a couple of meters. He nearly lost his footing, but fortunately, his leg strength and balance were no longer what they used to be, so he managed to hold on.
'This strength is insane!'
Veins bulged in his arms as he strained against the pull. Forget reeling the fish in, just maintaining his stance was already proving to be a challenge.
Thus began an intense tug-of-war between Law and the strange fish, with neither side gaining the upper hand.
Law exerted all his strength to pull the vine back, but in the next moment, the fish's counterforce yanked him right back to his starting position.
'One hour… Could I last that long?'
