Isla didn't know how she did it but suddenly she felt the restraints around her snap.
The magic that had been circling around her keeping her in place was gone followed by the symbols that had been beneath her feet. The only thing she registered was her son lying limp on the floor without moving. He laid terrifyingly still. She rushed to his side pressing him against her chest.
