Today was Haruki's birthday.
Lanling had never been particularly fond of celebrating occasions, but since this was their first time marking the day together, he wanted to do something special.
"Should we try diving in the lake? See what sea creatures lurk in the deep?"
He suggested while nestled comfortably in Haruki's lap, absently playing with the tips of Haruki's hair. It had grown long, and he found that it suited Haruki, so he let it be.
Haruki, of course, was more than happy to indulge him.
"Hey, that actually sounds better than going on a picnic~"
His eyes twinkled at the idea, intrigued.
"But I don't know how to dive... And where would we even find the right gear?"
"Hmm," Lanling pressed against Haruki's chest, using the leverage to lift himself slightly before hooking his arms around Haruki's neck.
Haruki let him, feeling his heart itch with affection at the shift in position.
