Winter zoomed into Kendall's picture. It was clear that the omega had grown well. His cheekbones were high and his chin was small. His eyes had settled for a hazel color.
Winter's stomach coiled as he stared at the picture.
In his life, he'd done a lot of wrong things. A lot of bad things to a lot of people. And he moved on from them guilt-free, convincing himself that the world was an unfair place, and he was just helping out to balance the bad side properly.
But any time Winter thought of Kendall, that guilt surfaced. Images of a teary-faced Kendall emerged in his mind and it was hard to get rid of them.
Winter had managed to suppress these memories well over the years, but seeing Kendall the other day brought them all back. It brought him back to his reality. His cruel reality.
"Fuck, I'm such an asshole…" Winter cussed himself out, remembering the things that he'd done in his youth.
