Not even Abrielle had seen Cedric this vulnerable, only Callista. It was ironic how the voices got louder when he was with Abrielle and were subtle with Callista. Although she could not stop them entirely her presence made them subtle.
He felt her cool energy flowing through his body. The pain was subsiding but the voice kept on screaming. It was telling him he was doing something wrong and his actions would only do him more harm than good.
It wanted him to listen, but how could he obey those words and claims that felt completely wrong and against him? He just couldn't bring himself to.
"I can't stop them, Cedric. I don't understand the cause, it is your subconscious telling you the truth you are ignoring or might be a curse." She explained what she thought. Cedric scoffed. It was definitely a curse.
"I can't live like this forever." Cedric groaned; he was a man that has been through hell, yet something as simple as voices were breaking him.
