Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: The Plan to Build the Wizard City

"Leave it to me."

Hill's face beamed with confidence.

She looked up at the sky, where the sun was just peeking out from behind the clouds.

Beyond meeting the best wizard here, she felt she had found her purpose.

For a stonemason, nothing is more exhilarating or honorable than building a city with their own hands.

This was a dream she never dared to hope for, yet the opportunity presented itself right in front of her—a chance to build a wizard city.

Building a city for wizards!

Just thinking about it made her blood race with excitement.

She was going to craft a Wizard City, a sanctuary for all wizards, a sacred mountain in the hearts of all wizards!

David also smiled. With a Wizard City, he could better attract the wizard organization behind the little white mouse.

It was also a strategy for safety. If Frostwolf Ridge were ever attacked by the Church, they would have a place to escape.

A Wizard City.

A secret city built underground!

After taking on the task, Hill immediately started preparing the construction plans.

David was in no rush and told Hill to wait.

Hill's attitude showed she didn't reject the place, but David still asked, "Hill, would you like to join Frostwolf Ridge?"

Upon hearing this, Hill's face turned solemn, and she nodded seriously.

"Welcome to Frostwolf Ridge."

David smiled and reached out to shake Hill's hand.

She thought David might propose, but it was just an invitation to join Frostwolf Ridge, showing he was sincere.

Amy and Cynthia didn't think too much about it, simply happy that another witch joined their domain.

Even the usually indifferent Rena greeted Hill and joined the conversation.

Seeing this, David stepped aside to let the four women bond and went to the open space to practice his breathing technique.

His battle energy had already reached the peak of the fourth stage, but he felt a barrier preventing him from turning gaseous energy into liquid energy.

And so, time passed slowly.

Lia and Rena also began practicing the knight's breathing technique.

Meanwhile, Amy, Cynthia, and Hill exchanged insights about witchcraft.

Originally, Amy and Cynthia wanted to share the basic meditation method, but Hill had already been practicing the same method.

They didn't think much of it since the basic meditation method was the most widespread on the continent.

Through their exchange, they realized Hill had been practicing the method for some time and had more experience casting spells than Amy and Cynthia.

This benefitted Amy and Cynthia greatly, and even David, who was eavesdropping, seemed to have a thoughtful expression, gaining insights.

In the Northern Lands, Black Leaf Ridge.

Hillman stepped onto the desolate battlefield.

With his demon hunter bloodline, he sensed the lingering magical energy on the field.

"A fourth-stage ice wizard," he said grimly.

Wizards have an absolute power advantage over knights of the same level.

Confronting such a middle-level wizard, Charlie indeed had little chance to resist.

However, advancing as a wizard is far more challenging than for knights.

Becoming a middle-level wizard is no easier than him advancing to a sixth-stage knight.

According to the Church's information, only one organization called the Witches' Mutual Aid Society existed in the Northern Lands, with their strongest being a third-stage wizard.

Thus, this ice wizard likely belonged to another organization from the extreme north.

"Hmph, dare to kill our Church's Holy Light Knight? Prepare for divine judgment!" Hillman snorted coldly.

The Saintess had already arrived in the Northern Lands with divine will. This land would soon fall under the Church's control, and all commoners would become the most devout followers of the God of Holy Light.

And he, Demon Hunter Hillman, would hunt all wizards here in the name of the Holy Light Knight, turning it into a sacred land!

In the study.

David planned to practice ice magic.

Amy was quietly reading by the oil lamp.

When David approached, Amy quickly stood up.

"It's okay, you go on," David smiled.

He glanced at the book Amy was reading, which was the wizard book obtained from Hill.

Despite being a damaged wizard book, it still provided Amy with more knowledge about wizards.

"Lord, what did you mean earlier?" Amy asked curiously.

David raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Oh? Want to learn?"

"Yes."

Amy nodded seriously.

David felt the night was long, and exchanging insights with Amy seemed nice.

Thinking this, he cleared his throat, "I'll be your teacher for tonight."

"You're an ice wizard, so I'll talk to you about water and ice."

"Amy, are you ready?"

"Yes."

Amy nodded earnestly.

David moved behind Amy, embracing her from behind.

Then, he spread the parchment before them, beginning to explain the nature of water and ice.

Amy, already possessing ice powers, might deepen her understanding through this, mastering her powers better.

David's head rested on Amy's shoulder, catching a faint fragrance with each breath.

"Understand, Amy?" David asked gently.

Amy was still a bit confused, but she turned and saw the intense look in David's eyes.

"Let's go slow," David continued patiently.

"Ice is water in solid form, forming when water drops below zero degrees Celsius."

"Zero degrees Celsius?"

David nodded, continuing his explanation.

Amy quietly settled down, ready to explore this unfamiliar territory.

"Amy, learned it?" David asked, observing her thoughtful expression, his breath becoming quickened.

"Yes."

"Let me check your understanding."

David spread the rolled parchment and bent down to examine it.

[You completed a session of practice, gaining 136 ice element affinity]

David exhaled contentedly but suddenly noticed a thin layer of frost covering both of them.

"What is this..."

David paused, realizing the unusually high experience gain from this session.

Amy also realized it, closing her eyes to sense, then showing a look of delight, "Lord, I think I've learned a new spell."
