- Yuri Alpha -
She gathered with the seven Shadows from the Shadow Garden along with a few more people from their side.
The Oni were mainly led by three people recommended by Shuna, as the top of the Ogre Clan who had decided to follow Silas-sama to this world.
Hiro, a red haired Oni, someone who was a friend and rival of her elder brother and one of the most talented individuals of the younger generation. He was incharge of leading the Oni as a general.
Yuna, the elder sister of another friend of Shuna and her brother, Souei. She was very good at infiltration and stealth based combat and was the one who had taught her younger brother everything.
Lastly, an elderly Oni called Hakurou, who was a master of swordsmanship and had been the trainer of the oni back in the ogre village.
In today's meeting, only Yuna was participating.
After a brief introduction, the meeting started in earnest.
"How is the training on the side of the Oni?" Alpha asked.
Yuna, taking this as a sign, spoke first.
"We have all been trained about the basic knowledge of the world by Lavinia-sama and Sakura-sama. In Silas-sama's world, beings like Gods and Demon Lords as well as many magical races exist. They however keep their identity and existence a secret from normal… non-magical humans. This is an unspoken law followed by everyone in the Supernatural World. If a non-magical human finds out about them, their memories are erased using magic to cover up the traces of any magical events. So it is imperative that we know how to cover up after us."
Honestly she didn't understand the need for such a thing.
Why do Gods and Demon Lords, beings far higher than normal mortal humans hide from them?
Narberal thought it was to avoid being infected by their stupidity. She wasn't very appreciative of humans. It was especially so after they found out about Silas-sama's past.
Being chased and forced to flee by those imbeciles when he was in a weakened state, without his powers and memories.
Even the thought of such a thing made her blood boil in rage.
Silas-sama had given up everything for the sake of his friends and those… lowly…
When they had relayed this information in Nazarick, the Pleiades and Guardians had almost started a crusade against the so-called yakuza responsible for such a thing.
It was only after a slight investigation, they found out that all of them had already been taken care of in Zeref-sama's spell. The incident just made Yuri sigh at her foolishness.
How could she not think about that?
If even she was angry at his treatment, how would the other Supreme Beings take such an offence. How could they not act already?
Truly, they had too much to learn.
But despite her personal feelings for the non-magical humans in Silas-sama's world, she knew that Silas-sama himself didn't hate them. In fact, he had a very good relationship with many of them.
That's why they kept their personal feelings aside, deciding to respect his feelings.
"Hmm, we unfortunately don't have any such magic." Alpha said. "The magic in our world… isn't that versatile in many areas." She said with some regret.
"We have already been taught such a spell by Lavinia-sama and Tohru-sama. Such spells are a necessity in Silas-sama's world and something the Supernatural Beings of Tohru-sama's world use too. We have trained a squad of people who will be responsible for erasing memories of anyone who gets accidentally involved." Yuna said before adding. "We can share the magic with you if you need. It is slightly complicated so not many might be able to learn it so easily as it needs a certain talent in magic."
Alpha nodded. "Thank you. That would make Shadow Garden's operations in our world very easy."
The other members of Shadow Garden looked happy too.
Yuri saw this and added. "We can also contribute a set of Tier Magic and offer teaching to the members of both Shadow Garden and Tempest."
"Thank you. From our side, Shadow Garden will provide knowledge and training on how to run a business. We will also provide our Drill Master, Lambda to train people in espionage and counter espionage. Covert Operations is the specialty of Shadow Garden." She said quite proudly.
"Yes, we are Shadow Garden. We live in the darkness and hunt from the Shadows."
And with that planning began. At the end of the day, they had divided themselves into groups, each responsible for their own tasks.
One group would investigate the material they would publish. It was headed by Beta.
Another group would be responsible for buying properties. Narberal and she were responsible for this.
Third group would be doing market research. Tanya and Gamma were responsible for this group.
Lambda, Lavinia, Tohru and Sakura would oversee the training of the Oni's magic.
Over the next few weeks they started working in earnest.
Beta from Shadow Garden had started collecting manga and light novels from several worlds after getting suggestions from Ainz-sama and Rimuru-sama.
Gamma from the Shadow Garden began working with her to buy the properties in Miyama town.
Initially, the process was going slowly. That was until Gamma found something interesting in one of her investigations.
They had encountered a large building, absolutely suitable for the location of their new Publishing House. It was a property which cost eighty four million yen originally but was being sold for a much lower price due to some rumours about the property.
Apparently… it was haunted.
Yuri had looked blankly at the man when he had told her this.
… were these idiots really giving up three fourth of a price over a mere ghost?
Ghosts?
They were not even suitable as servants in Nazarick… could those formless shades save them so much money?
But since they were being so benevolent, who was she to deny?
She negotiated the price even lower and after some persuasion the price was reduced to six million.
That was when Tanya came up with a glitch.
What if other places were haunted too?
And with this, a plan was formed. They just chased the ghost away from the building, not purifying it completely.
It in turn went to another building and within just three days, that building was up for sale… Plan Successful.
In just three weeks, they had managed to buy the entire residential area. Although several buildings were empty, the talks of ghosts reduced the price a lot, allowing her to buy everything in a single go. It was easy.
Truly, as Silas-sama had said, killing and violence was never the answer. Sometimes, letting others go and forgiving can be rewarding too. So this is what he meant.
Did he already know of this?
As expected of Supreme Beings.
Tanya was truly a talent deserving of the recognition of the Supreme Beings.
With the property bought, they proceeded to the second phase of their plan. Step by step, they will get this world and offer it to Silas-sama.
- Silas -
"Is this the place?" I asked, looking around the area.
"Yes, Silas-sama." Yuri answered with a bow.
"It's huge." Rimuru said, looking out of the window. "And you got this for just six million? You girls must be amazing at bargaining." He said, looking at her in wonder.
Rimuru wasn't kidding.
The price of this building was at least eighty million or so and they had obtained it for a mere six million.
Yuri had asked us to visit the place and check it out before they established the Publishing House here.
Rimuru and I came here as Ainz was busy playing with Saitama, Milim and Fafnir.
"It was Tanya-chan and Gamma-chan who made the deal." Yuri replied.
Gamma was one of the girls who were friends with Cid-kun.
I had asked him about them and he told us that those girls ran a successful business in their world. In fact, they had created more or less a business empire in less than half a decade and Gamma was the one incharge of the business affairs.
Yuri had met them in the Restaurant and had asked them for advice in managing the business as they had experience on their side. Those girls had given their all to assist us with everything.
They have been a great help.
I knew almost nothing about this business and had only provided the money. Any progress that was made later was all the credit of these girls.
They had bought this property and several others at a very low cost. I was apprehensive at first about how they would do and if they would harm anyone. Ainz had told me that the people of Nazarick have a slightly different way of thinking from ordinary people and while Yuri and Narberal were fine, I didn't want to take any chances. That's why I had even reminded them not to use violence to get any property.
I am glad that they worked it out properly.
"We have ordered the equipment and they will be arriving by tomorrow. The staff has already been more or less trained. Right now, we lack a place for them to stay so they can only move through the Restaurant. We plan to complete building the residence and barriers for them in a month after which they will be able to settle here." She reported.
In this world, Supernatural beings did stay in the human world but they generally lived in areas covered by barriers or under disguises so as to keep their identities hidden.
"Barriers?" Rimuru asked.
"We talked to Tohru-chan and Lucoa-sama. Even Fafnir-sama and Shouko-sama were able to lend us some help in this regard. Their worlds have similar places and thus their magic can easily be used to ward off the residential area in a way that normal humans wouldn't be able to see them. Apart from this, each Oni has been trained in disguise to blend in perfectly with the humans of this world. They have been taught the basic knowledge of this world by Lavinia and Sakura."
They have really thought a lot about this project.
Rimuru nodded. "Yeah, our story for the Oni is that they are from an isolated dimension near an abandoned island and have come here to see the world on the orders of their leader. It is only normal for them to be ignorant about the world since they haven't been in contact with anyone for centuries, probably even millenia. How about the Publishing House?" He asked.
"Since we already have prepared material on our side, we can start publishing our manga in less than a week." She replied.
"Oh! That's awesome. Are you all publishing the manga and novels Beta-san asked about?" Rimuru asked, happily.
They had discussed the list of manga overnight and decided on some famous names.
Fullmetal Alchemist, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Fist of the North Star, Black Clover, Slam Dunk, Yu Yu Hakusho, Code Geass, Death Note and Inuyasha. Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura were the compulsory magical girl manga. There was also To Love Ru and Mahou Sensei Negima were also added for the Harem genre, Rimuru making some personal changes in them. The list looked amazing if I was being honest.
Apart from this, they were publishing some famous Light Novels like Irregular at Magic High, Sword Art Online and Campione.
I had never seen both Rimuru and Ainz be so focused on something… not even wars.
"Yes. Apart from that, we are planning on publishing the Yu-Gi-Oh manga and then expand towards the Card Games. Tanya-chan suggested that they can be a very big business avenue, especially with something called the Gacha."
Both Rimuru and I looked at each other and then shivered internally.
Yeah… that girl was evil.
"O-oh. Good work." stuttered Rimuru.
Even I could only nod.
"We are planning to prepare around fifty thousand copies of the first release for the Comiket. Along with that, we plan to make posters and collectibles. Finally, we have a plan to present a music show to promote our Publishing House in front of the world although we are still working on that. We plan to expand towards the Visual Novel markets too. To test out the market, we are planning to launch some Visual Novels too. We are starting with the Clannad and Touhou Project." She reported.
"That's great. Just tell us if you need anything. You all have done an amazing job. I have no words good enough to praise you all." It was a genuine feeling from me. I really couldn't imagine someone arranging all this in just a few months and even training appropriate staff and starting a whole industry. These girls did this, despite not knowing anything about this world just a few months ago.
"Yup. Awesome work, Yuri-san." Rimuru nodded too.
"We will. Thank you so much for your praise." She smiled and gave us a bow.
Really, these girls are very hard working.
