The knights couldn't believe the state of their master. The assailant had the count by the neck, having him face the knights with his expression bloody from severe beatings.
His limbs were twisted in awkward positions with bones protruding from his left arm and right leg. The sight was horrifying to see, shedding light on the source of those screams.
"You… What have you done?!"
The commander roared in anger, his body trembling from his suppressed desire to act, but he and his men did not move. Things could get worse if they made any sudden movements to save the count.
They could only grit their teeth in anger, gripping their weapons tightly than ever. On the other hand, Jess stared at the knights with a stoic expression.
She tightened her hold slightly, eliciting a loud groan from the broken count. The sight angered the loyal knights to no end.
"Just stop!"
