After hearing what Lynn and Mr. Weasley said, even if old Barty and the Aurors were initially ignorant, they should have understood that Lynn was not the one who released the Dark Mark.
Both parties put down their wands tacitly. Lynn waved his hand to disperse the five alchemical circles around him, and the Aurors ceased their attacks on him.
"Mr. Rowle, since you claim to be a warrior against the Death Eaters, please tell me where those Death Eaters are now?"
Old Barty, clearly embarrassed by Lynn's sudden accusation of being in cahoots with the Death Eaters, quickly questioned Lynn in an attempt to change the subject.
Hearing this, the mockery in Lynn's eyes grew even stronger.
Lynn said calmly, "I think if Mr. Crouch is not blind, he should be able to see the battle going on over there."
As he spoke, Lynn pointed to the battle taking place within the circle of fire not far away—or rather, the one-sided massacre.
The moment old Barty and the Aurors apparated, they had engaged in a firefight with Lynn. After the firefight ceased, their attention had been entirely focused on Lynn, the young wizard who could fight twenty people at once.
It was only when Lynn pointed in the direction of Irina that the Aurors noticed the battle raging within the circle of fire.
The spot where Old Barty and the twenty Aurors had apparated happened to be on a small earthen slope, giving them a clear view of everything happening within the circle of fire.
Under the incredulous gazes of more than twenty people, the dreaded Death Eaters were falling one by one under Irina's devastating Ice magic, like lambs to the slaughter.
From the attire of these Death Eaters, the seasoned Aurors who had fought in the war against Voldemort immediately recognized their identities. Without hesitation, they drew their wands and rushed toward the circle of fire.
However, as soon as they reached the edge of the circle of fire and attempted to cast spells to subdue the Death Eaters, they were horrified to discover that their magic was being suppressed by an unknown force.
Except for a few elite Aurors, the rest found themselves unable to cast even the simplest spells!
The same thing happened to Old Barty, who had rushed to the edge of the fire circle with the Aurors. He turned to Lynn, his face a mix of anxiety and anger, and demanded, "What kind of power is this? Why is our magic being suppressed?!"
You see, magic is the lifeblood of a wizard. If this power, capable of suppressing a wizard's magic, were to spread and fall into the wrong hands, the entire magical world could be thrown into chaos!
Seeing this, Lynn chuckled and waved his left hand. The anti-magic field that had descended upon Old Barty and the Aurors suddenly dissipated, and the circle of fire formed by the anti-magic flames parted, creating a path for Old Barty and the Aurors to enter.
Lynn said with a smile, "Mr. Crouch, if you knew me better, you would be familiar with the name of my teacher, Wallisson Green."
Old Barty was stunned. Though he wasn't well-versed in alchemy, he knew of Wallisson Green, the renowned French alchemist who had invented the Anti-Magic Stone.
If Lynn was indeed a disciple of Wallisson Green, it made sense that he could wield such power. Moreover, with Mr. Green's influence, Lynn would not recklessly spread this power.
By this time, Irina had stopped her assault, seeing the Aurors approaching from outside the circle of fire.
With the Aurors taking control of the scene, the remaining Death Eaters were no longer Lynn and Irina's responsibility. It was better to leave such troublesome matters to the professionals.
However... after the earlier massacre, only six Death Eaters remained out of the original dozens...
Upon seeing the Aurors, the six surviving Death Eaters didn't even think of escaping. Instead, they surrendered immediately, almost clinging to the Aurors' legs and crying out for mercy.
Looking at the corpses of the Death Eaters scattered across the ground and the six sobbing survivors, Old Barty turned to Irina, who stood clad in blood-stained ice armor, and asked with difficulty, "Did you... kill all these Death Eaters?"
Irina nodded gently and replied, "Yes, sir. These Death Eaters were causing chaos in the camp, so I dealt with them."
Hearing Irina's words, the six remaining Death Eaters nearly burst into tears.
You call this "dealing with them"?!
Since this terrifying figure had arrived, she hadn't given them a chance to surrender. If the Aurors hadn't shown up when they did, they would all be dead!
Old Barty swallowed hard and gestured for an Auror to bind the six Death Eaters with special magical chains.
Once the six survivors were secured, Lynn recalled the Forbidden Magic Fire, storing it back within himself.
"Lynn, may I call you that? With the power of your Anti-magic Stone, these Death Eaters couldn't have used magic. That means the one who released the Dark Mark isn't among them. Can you tell me who did release it? Or at least describe their appearance?"
Old Barty approached Lynn and spoke in a low voice.
After everything he had witnessed, Old Barty no longer dared to treat Lynn as just an underage wizard. He now regarded Lynn and Irina with the same respect he would show Dumbledore.
After all, Lynn had single-handedly fought off twenty Aurors, including several elite ones. It was clear that Lynn's magical prowess far exceeded that of even the most skilled Aurors.
As for whether Lynn's power had reached the level of a Dark Lord, Old Barty doubted it—but he suspected it was close.
"I don't think you want to know the answer."
Sensing the change in Old Barty's demeanor, Lynn's tone softened, no longer cold and indifferent.
Hearing this, Old Barty felt a sinking feeling in his chest. He dismissed the surrounding Aurors and whispered, in a voice only Lynn could hear, "Go ahead. I think I can handle it."
Seeing that Old Barty seemed to understand the gravity of the situation, Lynn smiled.
To avoid altering the original plot, Lynn had no intention of revealing Barty Crouch Jr.'s identity. Old Barty's decision to dismiss the Aurors aligned perfectly with Lynn's plans.
In that case, there was no harm in informing Old Barty, who had likely already guessed the truth.
So, Lynn whispered, in a voice only Old Barty could hear, "I think you already know who it is... Barty Crouch Jr."
Old Barty's face paled, but he nodded grimly, understanding the implications. The truth was out, and now it was up to him to decide how to handle it.
