"Awooo!"
At the sight of the Ancient Wolf of Fran, the Wolfmen reverted to their original forms, their heads bowed and emitting submissive whimpers.
Though the Ancient Wolf was in slumber, its majesty remained intact.
"Do not fear," Dal smiled and patted the wolves, "Go to the back. My appearance might be quite horrific soon."
"Whimper..."
The Wolf pack nuzzled his calves and lay down by his side, refusing to leave no matter how much he urged them away, a stubbornness revealed in their howling.
"Why are you as stubborn as mules,"
Dal could only give up helplessly, and as he gazed at the motionless Ancient Wolf of Fran before him, he knelt on one knee in front of it.
At this point, all the mental preparations had been made, and though it was impossible not to feel fear, it was unknown whether he could return to normal after becoming a monster.
But more than the fear of becoming a monster, he feared losing the familiar things around him.
