Maru screamed in fright and took off running.
The Lion Ape swung its huge hand and smashed it onto the ground, causing dirt and rocks to fly everywhere. Pebbles rained down on Maru like a torrential downpour, with a round rock coincidentally landing right under her feet.

She slipped, and just as she was about to face-plant into the ground, she somehow managed to maintain her balance in an awkward posture using some extreme maneuver.
