Ever since Bernardo received a reply from the Truth Society Chairman, he stopped in his tracks.
He had assisted the Chairman for many years and, if not knowing him like the back of his hand, had at least figured him out to a great extent.
Under normal circumstances, upon learning that the base had been turned upside down by Bai Fu, the Chairman should have been extremely furious, cursing Bai Fu and incidentally blaming him a few times.
But the Chairman just now was very off.
"Wait for me to return."
This response was too brief and too calm, it wasn't the Chairman's style at all.
Could it be that the Chairman's terminal had fallen into other people's hands, or even worse, had the Chairman encountered a major event that shook him to his core?
