Li Manli watched as Lu Liang finished his sugar water, looking back every few steps, hesitating for a long time before finally saying, "Don't work too hard."
Lu Liang was probably going to pull an all-nighter; he was clearly ill, and clearly wealthy enough not to need to do this. She didn't understand, but besides feeling sympathetic, there seemed to be nothing she could do.
Lu Liang touched her cheek and said with a gentle laugh, "See you tomorrow morning. Be careful on your way home."
