The so-called giant city of Weiyuan was an urban cluster that expanded indefinitely from the former capital of Zero Island. It was said that the capitalists of the Giant Union originally planned to expand it to cover half of Dahe Island in one fell swoop, but in the end, they reluctantly gave up due to the collapse of the real estate bubble at the end of the last century.
Plans could change with the whims of the big shots, but once buildings were constructed, they couldn't be altered. The abandoned buildings and half-finished constructions irregularly scattered around the outskirts of Weiyuan City were remnants of the once grand urban development plan. To recoup costs, the big shots generously rented out this peripheral area, allowing residents to grow crops, raise livestock, and rent various types of obsolescent products from big corporations at steep prices.
