The Mayor couldn't come personally, so Lawyer Ossen acted as the full representative and got involved in the whole affair.
He saw Lance and waved at him, "How is he?"
"He said he was in too much pain, so I had the doctor give him a painkiller. He should be falling asleep soon."
Lawyer Ossen had certain abilities in law and politics, but he wasn't very knowledgeable about medical issues.
He nodded noncommittally and pulled Lance into a corner.
"What role did you play in this?", Lawyer Ossen asked, going straight to the core.
Lance shook his head, "I'm not quite sure what you mean, Lawyer Ossen. I just played the role I was supposed to play."
"Young Master Eric wanted quick money, and I provided him with some options; he chose one."
Lawyer Ossen's gaze was stern and unfriendly.
