Oliver left the house after defeating Miss Valentine with a hat.
'I hope this way it won't affect me,' Oliver thought. "Alright, we have to go to your guard."
"Guard? Are you talking about Igaram?!" Vivi asked.
"That's right. He must be with my Nakamas," Oliver told her.
Both of them, along with Karoo, went to the rest of the Straw Hats and saw that Luffy and Zoro were on the ground with Nami in between them.
'Right, their fight,' Oliver recalled.
The situation in the city was explained to Luffy, as well as the fact that they would take Vivi to Alabasta for 1 million Berries.
"Jajaja! You should've told me earlier! I thought they killed you because they didn't like the food!" Luffy started laughing.
"NO! That's what YOU would do!!" Zoro shouted angrily.
"Hahaha! Hey, don't worry," Luffy said, laughing again.
"I can't accept it! But I will... Thank you for saving my life," Vivi said in front of Nami.
"Why? Aren't you a princess?! Come on, it's just 1 million," Nami told her.
"Do you know the Kingdom of Alabasta?" Vivi asked.
"No. I've never heard of it," Nami replied while the others remained silent.
"It's one of the oldest kingdoms in the Grand Line. It was a peaceful kingdom a long time ago," Vivi said, reminiscing about her homeland.
"A long time ago?" Nami asked curiously.
"Two or three years ago, a civil war began. The citizens started revolting and engaging in small battles. Until one day, I heard the name of an organization called: Baroque Works," Vivi said in a serious tone.
"I discovered that they were the ones manipulating the people. Other than that, I couldn't find much information about them, so I asked Igaram, who has been protecting me since I was a little girl," Vivi continued.
"I asked him if he could confirm some of the rumors. If I could infiltrate Baroque Works, then... I could find out who the leader behind all of this is."
Vivi finished explaining, leaving the three quite surprised to see how a princess had infiltrated a criminal organization.
"You have a lot of courage to do something like that," Oliver told her.
"But Baroque Works' goal is to create an ideal nation, right?" Nami asked.
"Yes, and they plan to take over the Kingdom of Alabasta. If I don't return to my country to tell the people the truth and stop the rebellion, Baroque Works will do whatever they want," Vivi said, worried about her homeland.
"I see. So that's what's going on. Now everything makes sense. They're in a civil war, that's why they have no money," Nami said, resigned to not getting any wealth.
"Well, who's the boss?" Luffy asked her.
"The boss?! Don't ask me that!! Please! I can't tell you, or they'll come after you too!!" Vivi shouted, trying to avoid revealing anything.
"Haha... We're sorry. If they're planning to take over an entire country, they must be very dangerous," Nami said, laughing a little.
"Yes. They may be strong, but they are nothing compared to Crocodile, one of the Shichibukai," Vivi said.
As soon as she said it, Vivi covered her mouth, realizing she had just revealed the name of Baroque Works' leader, which both scared Nami and excited Luffy.
At that moment, they saw a house where a vulture and an otter were watching them before quickly leaving.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! What were that bird and otter doing?!" Nami shouted, angrily questioning Vivi.
"I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Vivi began apologizing. "R-Really, I'm sorry! It just slipped out!"
"Do you think a simple 'sorry' fixes this?! Why did you have to say that?!" Nami let her go and started crying. "I can't believe a Shichibukai wants to kill me just when we've entered the Grand Line!"
"Catching up to them is complicated," Oliver said, grabbing a rock and throwing it at them, but they managed to dodge it. "I missed."
Luffy and Zoro, on the other hand, were thrilled at the idea of meeting a Shichibukai, unlike Nami.
Nami tried to leave, but the vulture and the otter were there with drawings of everyone before quickly taking off.
"NOW WE CAN'T GO ANYWHERE!" Nami cried out.
"I-I'm sorry," Vivi apologized.
"Well, there's no point in regretting it now. What's done is done," Oliver said, leaning against a house, exhausted. 'I feel tired. What the hell is happening?'
At that moment, Igaram arrived, wearing a strange disguise of Vivi.
"DO NOT WORRY!! I HAVE A PLAN!" Igaram declared.
"Igaram! Why are you dressed like that?!" Vivi asked, confused.
"Wow! You almost fooled me, old man!" Luffy laughed at Igaram.
"Listen to me. Knowing Baroque Works' network, they'll soon be after you," Igaram said.
"With the destruction of Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, it's inevitable," Igaram explained. "Because he's a Shichibukai, he has no bounty on his head, but when he did, the price for Baroque Works' boss, the pirate Crocodile, was 80 million Belly. By the way, about taking the princess..."
"Huh? What?" Luffy asked.
"We have to take her home," Zoro explained.
"Oh, were we supposed to do that? Alright," Luffy accepted.
"80 MILLION?! That's four times higher than Arlong! We'll die if we fight him!!" Nami screamed in terror at Crocodile's level of danger.
"80 million is a lot," Oliver thought, considering Crocodile's strength.
"Now, Princess, give me the Eternal Pose to Alabasta," Igaram requested.
"Huh? What's an Eternal Pose?" Nami asked, recovering a little.
"You don't know? It's a fixed version of a Log Pose. Instead of calibrating at each island like a Log Pose, this one never forgets the magnetic location of the desired place and always points to Alabasta," Igaram explained to Nami.
"Do you understand, Princess Vivi? While I'm disguised as you, I have these dummies to represent the crew, and I'll head straight to Alabasta while Baroque Works' agents chase me, ignoring you," Igaram said. "I've never done this before, but I think you need to follow the Log Pose two or three times before reaching Alabasta. Travel safely, we'll meet in Alabasta."
They headed to the shore, where Igaram prepared to leave on a ship with decoys of Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Oliver.
'I could stop him and ruin the plan, but that could truly lead to his death,' Oliver thought.
Igaram bid farewell to Vivi, hoping she would be safe and accomplish her mission.
As his ship drifted away from the island, a massive explosion suddenly erupted from the ship, shocking everyone—especially Vivi, who could only stare at the blast.
"NAMI! THE LOG POSE!" Zoro shouted, asking her.
"G-Got it, it's ready," Nami said, seeing that the Log Pose was pointing to the next island.
"THEN LET'S GO NOW!" Zoro yelled.
"Vivi! We have to hurry! If they catch us, the journey will have been for nothing, right?!" Nami told her, but she saw how Vivi was holding back tears, biting her lip.
'She's strong,' Oliver thought as he hugged Vivi. "It's alright! We'll get you to Alabasta."
"We can't waste Igaram's sacrifice. We have to get to the Merry," Oliver said.
"Alright, let's go!" Luffy shouted.
Luffy and Oliver went to find Sanji and Usopp, while Nami, Vivi, and Zoro headed to the Going Merry.
