Fei spend some time living with Hu Li and the others. Day time he wonder around the capital looking for fun things to do. While Hu Li is busy in the kitchen helping out. At night, Fei goes to the brothel to hear musicians playing the latest song. Some afternoon he hear operas in tea houses. He never fail to have fun when there are women around.
One afternoon, Fei make a new friend and bring him to the inn. The workers know what he wants thus they never ask and just inform the kitchen that Fei is here. Hu Li cook his favourite dishes. The workers bring it out and later run back in the kitchen. He said that Fei wants to introduce a friend to Hu Li. Without a thought, she wipe her hands on her apron and walk out to the usual room that Fei always used. She enter and to her horror she see that man with Sheng Qin's face talking to Fei.
"Hu... Yu'er! Come here! My new friend, .... what is your name again?"
"Yue Sheng Cai. You really cannot remember names! And nice to meet you, Yu'er!."
"Come sit with us!"
"Ah no. The kitchen is busy. I have to go now. Enjoy the food."
"Yu'er, do you dance?"
She stop walking and turn around.
"Dance? No. I cook. I have to go now. "
She hurry out and close the door. While Sheng Cai who is eating with Fei is smiling. He knows he found the dancer.
Meng Lan comes rushing gin tot he kitchen when she see Sheng Cai. Hu Li ask her to keep silence. Meng Lan goes outside to the counter and do her accounts. Dong Mei and Dong Wen comes in the kitchen to see Hu Li. To see another face of their old owner gives them a shock. Fei notice this after he see the three have strange look on their faces. Fei waited till Yue Sheng Cai leaves the inn and disappear in a distance. Fei walk to the kitchen. He watch Hu Li while pretending to touch the items on the kitchen counter. The workers feels nervous to watch a blind man feel this way around the kitchen till Megan Lan hold his hand and pretend to lead him out. Fei laugh as he walk out importantly. he sense the mood of Hu Li. She is upset.
Fei spend that evening in the company of his old friends instead of going to the brothel. Drinking alcohol is never effect them. Most of the alcohol that they taste is like water to them. However there are some exception case when the smell of it will make them feel intoxicated. When drunkard, all of them will morph into their animal form and all their tongues hang at the corner of their mouth. Plus they will run around looking for water. Fei will morph into his phoenix form, walking on the ground, he walks like he is marching. His feathers bounce and magic dust drops from his feather. He leaves behind a trail of magical dust that grows colourful magic mushroom on the ground. After drinking the water from the bathtub, they morph back to their human form. Looking at each other they burst off laughing. The last one who is walking to the tub is Fei, he is trying to walk in a straight line while marching. It is a strange sight to see. After he morph back, he laugh. After awhile Hu Li start to dance. Dong Mei and Meng Lan follow her steps. The garden comes to life with Hu Li's dancing. The butterflies are circling around the dancers. Without music, the leaves that are moving with the wind becomes the rhythm that moves their feet. Even the moon light seems to shine it's light on them. Fei watch with his white eyes glowing. Hu Li is indeed the most beautiful magical female beast he ever see and he knows why Hei love her so much. She is life itself.
As she dance, she look at Fei. Her golden eyes sparkles with electricity. He feels the sparkles as she blink her eyes. He feels her breath with each turn she makes. Her graceful seductive movement makes him feel strange. He have seen her dance public many times in the brothel but today she is special. Without makeup and wearing the common poor people. Even without those high fashion hairstyles, she still like like an enchantress. Soon the leaves from the tree falls and swirl around the dancers. Their hair dance to the flow of the wind. Meng Lan who seldom move around , dance with gracefulness with a yellow glow from her body that moves like a pulse rhythm . While Dong Mei her hands glow with white light that have little bubbles flowing upwards. It is a beautiful sight to see. The rest sitting on the ground watching the sight are enjoying the sight and the breeze.
After a long time, the dancers are tired and they stop dancing one by one. They all look at the velvet dark sky. Tonite there is only one star blinking however the moon is shining brightly. Hu Li remember in the past she sat at the rooftop and Sheng Qin come running worry for her sitting on the rooftop he rush to find s ladder to get her. In the end, he climb up and watch the sky with her. She describe the colors to him. He looks happy at that time. He makes her happy at that period of time. When life is simple and innocent. He teach her how to live a life and she describe the color of life to him. Life was hard but everyday it brings joy to her.
Two days later in the kitchen, Meng Lan comes in the kitchen. She lean on the counter and look around.
"I have receive an order... I already told the customer that we are just an inn. Nothing special here. However he said he is a good friend of Fei and had tried the food here. He likes it. Thus he is organising a feast. He wants the best dishes to be present."
"Lady boss, but we just cook simple dishes."
"That is what i told the butler. He insist that his master wants the dishes to be cook at his residence. "
Hu Li holding the ladle stare at Meng Lan. They look at each other and look away.
"Lady boss, how much are they paying?"
"For eight dishes for twelve people. one hundred gold pieces."
"Oh! Lady boss! That is that is!!!"
"Yes we with these money we can close the inn for three months. The problem is we are an inn!"
