"There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary here," Zhong Nianyao shook her head, "at least, I don't feel anything."
There was no ghost energy, nor any trace of evil spirits. Even the chill they felt was simply due to their location deep underground.
The group of four continued moving forward, yet they encountered no abnormalities, not even any extra sounds.
"Let's head back up," Zhong Nianyao said directly, "We've been here for quite a while with no sign of anything. Continuing on seems pointless. Better to go back up and then I'll think about what to do."
Having felt no disturbances, she was also uncertain how to proceed. It was preferable to return and consider her options with better preparation for a later visit.
Lu Yichen had no objections.
So the group started making their way back.
Time ticked by second by second, but they never reached the spot where they had descended into the mine.
"Master, we—" Uncle Li started to speak but didn't know what to say.
