Inside the Tsukuyomi World.
After a long conversation with Kaguya, Madara muttered to himself.
"So this is a starship... To think such a miraculous thing actually exists in this world..."
Obito rolled his violet eyes in exasperation.
'Madara, you look like you've never seen the world before...'
'Give me some time to drag Orochimaru back here, and I'll have him make you an AK to play with.'
Kaguya gazed at the two with her pale eyes, her voice as soft as flowing water.
"Now that you have heard my story..."
She paused, then asked gently.
"Do you still have the courage to stand against me and my clan?"
Hearing this, Madara and Obito exchanged glances—then burst into laughter.
Especially Madara, who laughed so hard that tears welled up in his eyes.
"Hahahahaha! Woman, are you joking?"
"The stronger the enemy, the better! Otherwise, what's the point of battle?"
"Crushing so-called strong opponents beneath my feet is the greatest pleasure of being Madara!"
Obito laughed just as boldly, following up.
"He is absolutely right! The stronger the enemy, the harder we'll crush them!"
"So what if our opponents are gods? We are warriors, and we will shake the heavens themselves!"
"Obito!"
"Hahahahahahahahahaha!"
Watching the two lunatics laugh like maniacs, Kaguya's eyes flickered with a strange light.
'Should I call them fearless or simply ignorant...'
She decided to wait until they finished laughing before speaking again—such was the etiquette of a princess.
But who would have thought... she ended up waiting for ten whole minutes!
Kaguya nearly lost her mind, tormented by their endless, insane laughter.
"Phew~"
As their laughter finally died down, Kaguya let out a quiet sigh of relief.
"I do admire your courage..."
She chose her words carefully, then continued.
"But with our current strength alone, we cannot hope to challenge the Ōtsutsuki main family."
"However, I do have a method to bridge the gap between us and them."
Obito grinned, already guessing her intention.
"Let me guess—you're planning to use Infinite Tsukuyomi to extract this planet's chakra?"
Kaguya nodded slightly.
"Only by doing this can we rapidly acquire enough power to stand against the main family."
Obito shook his head, clearly unimpressed.
"You should abandon that thought, Kaguya-sama."
Obito had done plenty of terrible things in his life, but that didn't mean he was heartless.
Sacrificing an entire planet to gain power? That was a step too far.
Of course, if it really came down to a life-or-death situation, he might consider it.
However—
Having read the script, Obito knew one thing for sure.
The Ōtsutsuki main family was arrogant beyond belief.
They wouldn't even bother paying attention to a runaway clanswoman and a few lowly natives of a backwater planet.
Real powerhouses wouldn't lower themselves to personally deal with something so insignificant.
At least, not until Obito had devoured enough of their "scouts."
That's right.
Although Obito still looked human, he was already halfway to becoming an Ōtsutsuki himself.
And with that, he had inherited their ability to "consume."
His plan was simple:
Every Ōtsutsuki that set foot on Earth? He would devour them.
One came, he ate one.
A pair came, he ate both.
And with the system rewarding him for altering the storyline, he'd only grow stronger in return.
Seriously—
'I'm literally cheating. Why should I be afraid of a bunch of steroid junkies?!'
Kaguya, seeing that Obito refused, was undeterred. She pressed on.
"If we cannot resist the main family, this entire planet will be doomed."
"Given that, isn't it worthwhile to sacrifice the many in order to preserve the few?"
Obito glanced at her indifferently.
'Such noble-sounding words... but I suspect you never really saw human lives as anything more than resources.'
'Then again, can I blame you? Food never gets a say in how it's consumed. It's just a difference in perspective.'
Even Madara couldn't accept Kaguya's absurd proposition.
He sneered.
"Are you trying to manipulate me and my grandson like Black Zetsu did?"
Kaguya frowned slightly, her large eyes filled with confusion.
"You..."
She couldn't understand why these two didn't grasp such a simple concept.
'Sacrificing a portion of the insignificant to save the planet should be an easy decision.'
'Why do they hesitate?'
Kaguya attempted to put herself in their shoes, pondering deeply.
After a moment, her expression softened in realization.
'Ah... I see now. It's the human instinct to pity the weak, isn't it?'
'Heh, what a foolish trait—something ingrained in inferior creatures, impossible to erase no matter how powerful they become.'
Believing she had figured them out, Kaguya spoke again.
"I understand your compassion. But what if we only extracted their chakra without harming them?"
"After all, their chakra is wasted on them. Wouldn't it be better used to protect this planet?"
"This..."
Obito and Madara hesitated for the first time.
There was truth to her words.
Resources in the wrong place were just waste. Waste in the right hands became power.
When the Ōtsutsuki finally descended, the weak would be useless in battle.
And by "weak," that meant anyone below Kage-level—basically the entire world, with only a handful of exceptions.
If they could extract chakra without killing, gathering that energy to strengthen themselves against the Ōtsutsuki...
It actually didn't sound like a bad idea.
As Kaguya had said—when the nest is overturned, no egg remains intact.
In times like these, strength had to be consolidated.
Madara narrowed his eyes, considering.
"Woman, I have two questions."
"First—can you truly extract chakra without harming them?"
"Second—would the chakra extracted this way even be useful to warriors of our level?"
Kaguya nodded seriously.
"I am the God Tree, and the God Tree is me. This is not difficult."
"As long as the extraction isn't excessive, their lives won't be affected."
"Trust me—when it comes to 'draining' people, I have plenty of experience."
Her words made both Obito and Madara slightly uncomfortable.
But only slightly.
After all, the people who died a thousand years ago had nothing to do with them.
If they truly cared about them, they wouldn't be standing here now.
Kaguya blinked her large eyes.
"And with the sheer number of living beings on this planet, even small extractions would add up to something enormous."
She licked the corner of her lips lightly.
"Even if the three of us share it, there'll be more than enough to push our strength even further."
