Chapter 115 - Eight years part 2

The naked body that woke up in the Yin Yang Tower was identical to Rafael, even the 3 blood red gems he had on both hands and in the middle of his forehead were identical. As soon as he got up, he put on full body armor and equipped a ring, a bracelet, and a necklace. Finally, he took the Valyrian Steel short sword from his inventory and left his room, heading towards the next room.

This was his Blood Clone, one of the greatest achievements Rafael had made in the last 10 years as a Bloodmage. The clone was perfect and identical to the original body and could be controlled even from great distances. Its only weakness was that it could not use magic, but the clone had absurd vitality.

As long as its head was not decapitated or crushed, it could recover from almost any injury. That is why he used a sword, armor, and artifacts, which were his only forms of defense and attack. The clone also had a certain autonomy. It could perform simple tasks even without Rafael focusing on them, but to avoid wasting time while he was on the ship returning to Asshai, he chose to sleep and take full control of it.

It was a shame that he could only create a single clone at the moment. The ritual he created was very complicated and placed a great burden on his young soul. This magic alone already put him on the same level as many Masters of Asshai. But this was not his only achievement as a Bloodmage. Rafael had created the gems in both of his bodies and also created a large-scale attack ritual that would soon be shown to everyone in Asshai…

As soon as he knocked on the door of the next room, Natasha, who had deep, dark circles under her eyes, opened it and let him in. He looked at her and said, "You should get some rest. We'll be very busy soon…"

"I know… It's just that the angel's memories are too valuable. Now that he's fully recovered, I'm getting very close to the time when my mast'… I mean, White Shadow dies. Here, take this, do you recognize this key?"

I looked at the female angel inside a 3-meter tall glass coffin, the angel had black and white colors, according to Natasha this angel belonged to her master and used to be one of his students with a special light-shadow physique. After learning that he had killed his own master and done such cruelty to his disciples, Natasha refused to call him master, but some habits were hard to change…

When I looked at the paper she gave me, there was a drawing of a strange item full of runes in the center of the paper, on the top left and right were two more similar items, and on the bottom right and left two more items. When I turned the sheet over, I saw that the 5 items seemed to connect, forming a sort of key. It didn't have the shape of a traditional key, it was something more archaic and ancient, with a rounded shape... While I was still looking, Natasha continued:

"Angels were rarely summoned, White Shadow was obsessed with this key, ever since he obtained one from his master Purple Shadow... I'll just make one last attempt, and then I'll rest, I promise! Help me, please."

I nodded and removed some items from my inventory. This was another advantage of my clone: He could use the system's various abilities. I used the items I removed to perform a ritual. This was a necromancy-type ritual. It could strengthen a target's soul using the soul of the ritual master.

As soon as I activated it, I felt my soul expanding from my body. My clone only had a small fragment of my original soul, but it served as a bridge connecting the soul to the main body. Like a cloak, my soul covered Natasha's body. Feeling the effects, she activated the only soul-type spell she had learned using the Adventurer's Alliance's new natural treasure.

"Memory Extraction."

As soon as she activated the spell, a light shone in her eyes, and soon the black and white eyes of the angel were replaced by the same glow. The reason I had to reinforce Natasha's soul was that the angel's soul was too strong. Natasha could only look at it for a few seconds before being expelled from the angel's memories without my help. Even though the creature was already under Natasha's control, it still had a strong will.

Therefore, only with my help could Natasha last for a few minutes and not suffer any rebound from the spell. After 15 minutes, Natasha's and the Angel's eyes returned to normal. And she began to breathe as if she had run a marathon. I supported her and helped her sit up, then, as she caught her breath, she began to tell me everything she had seen in that vision. When she finished, I was speechless.

All the Masters had joined forces to kill White Shadow! This was unbelievable, in that battle several of them had died permanently! How strong was he? After briefly recounting the battle, I finally understood better the power of the Masters and someone with a special physique, their spells combined into two elements and White Shadow also had two powerful innate spells.

Unfortunately, Natasha only observed the battle after the angel was summoned, so she didn't see how it had started. Could the reason for the death be this key? I looked again at the piece of paper and wondered if any of the participants in the fight could have the other 4 pieces.

I helped Natasha walk to her bed where she fell asleep before even leaving the room, still reflecting on everything that had happened. Mainly the part of the fight where Kalindor showed off his skills... High-level lightning spells, a mutant plant-element beast, and instantaneous movements. This was all very accurate and valuable information. I also paid attention to the Masters who participated in this battle. In addition to Blood Armor, there were two necromancers.

One of them had become quite popular recently due to his cruel methods during several conflicts that had occurred in recent years. He was also the victor in these conflicts, having taken control of both the city's aristocrats and the Merchant Alliance. His name was Master Baron Bones.

When I arrived on the first floor of the Yin Yang Tower, which was now being used as a home for all the founders of the Order of Sages, I found Liza coming towards me with an envelope in her hand.

"Rafael, this letter has arrived for you."

Liza was completely different from before. She was now a mature woman in her 30s and had become very powerful. Her talent for learning spells was one of the greatest in the group. She only lost to me, Omar, and, of course, the freak called Jhon. Those with special physiques supported by the potions made with the spiritual root brought from the Adventurers' Alliance and cultivated in our tower were at a frightening level.

Learning spells quickly was a walk in the park for them. Meanwhile, some talentless members, even supported by all the potions possible, only learned a single spell in almost 10 years…

I opened the letter and as soon as I saw its seal, I knew it was from Master Blood Armor, and it had only a few sentences:

"I was busy and only saw your letter recently. Tell Natasha that I had no choice, I didn't know who I would fight until the moment the fight began. I was limited by a blood contract so I had to fight even against my will. I can't give details about the abilities of the other participants in the fight due to another contract, but even if I could, I don't know Kalindor's current whereabouts. But I heard that Master Cold is his student, you can try to contact him if you want more information."

This letter arrived very late. In more than eight years, the trail to find Kalindor has already gone cold. I will send a message to Master Cold and deliver this letter to Natasha. I hope she finds some comfort.

After leaving Blood Armor's letter for Natasha and writing to Master Cold, I was on my way to check on the tree of immortality that was about to grow its first batch of fruits.

In the meantime, I received another message. This time, the news came directly from Salim. It seemed that visitors looking for me had arrived in the city. A smile formed on my face. It seemed that Laura and Yuri had arrived. I was looking forward to finally meeting them in person.
