Chapter 92: Moral Kidnapping (Part One)
Granny Long continued to narrate the events leading to Old man Chen's house sale.
The house was indeed Old man Chen's property, but when he was sent down to the countryside, the house was requisitioned and allocated to three families to live in, one of which was Ma Dapan.
However, a few years back, after Old man Chen was rehabilitated, the house was returned to him. The three families who were living there had to move out.
The other two families were fine with it, but Ma Dapan, who lived in the main house, refused to leave. She claimed that since Old man Chen's son wasn't in B city, an old man like him couldn't possibly need such a large house and she wouldn't move. It took a prolonged verbal battle before she grudgingly moved out.
