Hyacinth POV
After confirming about the special room from Maddy the elf I led Fred, George and Neville up to the hallway where the come and go room as the elves called it should be. I paced three times in front of the blank wall at the end of the deserted hallway wishing for a room filled with anything interesting that had been left in the castle. After passing in front of the wall for the third time a door appeared on the wall. Fred jumped as soon as the door materialized and pulled it open, rushing inside with us following close behind.
The room was large and the walls were lined with torches that lit up as soon as we stepped inside. There were all sorts of trunks, potion materials, books, furniture and various other things scattered about some stacked in piles, others neatly organized on shelves, and some just thrown about the room carelessly on the floor. It was a sight to behold honestly, the controlled chaos would've been enough to dive me insane if I hadn't spent the better part of my life cleaning up after Dudley. We made our way further into the room the twins gawking at all of the forgotten treasures that have been left behind by the castles previous occupants. Fred looked at me in awe and said "What is all this stuff Cinthy?" I chuckled and said, "I overheard the house elf's talking about the come and go room, and how it provided you with whatever you needed. So I thought to ask for a room filled with all the interesting things that had been left in the castle over the years and since it was stuff brought into the castle and is forgotten it should be ok if we take it with us when we leave. For research purposes of course." Of course after I finish talking the twins get a devious smile that would make a Slytherin proud and Nev well he just chuckled at me. He had grown used to my schemes over the summer with him and Uncle Remus trying to reign Dad, Gramps Nicolas and myself in.
We spent the next few hours just going through the room sorting things out when we came across a really creepy crown. It gave me major icky vibes although Fred and George wanted to put it on Nev and I stopped them. Whatever that crown was, was bad news so after a quick discussion with Nev I pulled out my mirror to call Dad. It didn't take him long at all to answer, he had the mirror propped up on a table and was in I am assuming the Black ancestorial townhome with Uncle Remus by his side. "What's up pup, you miss me already?" He said before really looking at me but once he registered my freaked out look he straightened and was serious in an instant along with Uncle Remus. "I overheard the elf's talking about this room that provides what you need so I brought Nev and the Weasley twins Fred and George to check it out cause I was bored. That's not why I'm calling though, while we were organizing to see if there was anything worth bringing with us we found this crown." I turned the mirror so that they could see the crown without anyone having to touch it and then continued, "It's giving off really bad vibes Dad. The magic around it is like it's trying to make me put it on but honestly all I want to do is run away from it. Could you or Uncle Moony come get it and take it to the goblins for a cleansing ritual. Something this creepy should not be at a school if you ask me. Also bring something to carry it with I don't think we should even touch it, it's really freaking me out."
Uncle Moony looked pensive before he said, "That crown looks like the picture of the Ravenclaw Diadem that I read about a while ago, I'll get Tilly to pop me to you so that I can take a better look Siri you should probably come with just incase." Dad just nodded as Uncle Moony ran off to get what he needed, he was back rather quickly and Dad disconnected the call but before I could blink they were both in front of us and I ran to Dad and hugged him cause why not. Uncle Moony wasted no time in pulling out a lead box to contain the crown before touching it he put on dragon hide gloves and gently grabbed the crown which started hissing at him as he went to move it. Dad pushed me and Nev behind him in an instant as Uncle Remus fought with the crown to put it in the box. Once it was contained Uncle Remus took off his gloves that looked like they had begun to deteriorate and all I could think was that I was glad I called them otherwise someone could have been hurt. After storing the box in a bag of it's own both Dad and Uncle Remus left with Tilly to make an emergency trip to the bank.
With the crown gone the boys and I decided to explore the room with a renewed fervor. The twins nearly did summersaults when they found a five compartment truck complete with a potions lab, master suite, kitchen, storage room and library with a small collection of books still on the shelves. Nev and I smiled at their obvious excitement as they began to pull thing out and put new things from the room in to decorate it to match their tastes. The funniest exchange was when they were trying to find matching beds to place in the master suite instead of the large single bed that was in there to begin with. I had to convince them that they didn't have to have matching beds they could use different ones and put a divider up in the room basically turning it into two separate but connected spaces that they could each decorate however they liked. They looked at me like I had grown a second head and Nev was no help at all, because all he did was laugh at me when they ran up and kissed me on both of my cheeks causing me got go beet red. The rest of our evening was rather peaceful as we became interior decorators for the twins new R&DT as they called it.
