Chapter 60 - The Prophecy

After the training, Caspian excused himself, claiming he had papers to take care of and a story to straighten out with his other personal mentor. Before he did, he told Viella not to worry too much because it would eventually come right. Although he did understand why she would worry about it. If it was any consolation, at least the acceptance ceremony wouldn't threaten her life the way the blood trial did.

Viella could only smile at that. It was, in a strange way, some consolation. He really did put it into perspective, but it left Viella thinking whether coming to look for Alastor was a good idea.

After all, if she had just stayed home and hoped he would come for her instead, then perhaps she wouldn't be in this situation. She had simple dreams, to be a herbalist and to have a family of her own. But her problems seemed to grow and grow the moment she arrived there.
