As Gunther finished explaining what the turtles could do; the similarities between them and the Boulderback beasts, there was a collective understanding among them.
Chris was the first to break the silence, stepping forward with a small, relieved smile. "Glad you made it back, Gunther."
Gunther gave a weary but grateful nod. "Thanks Chris, it's good to see you as well." He paused, looking around at everyone's faces, his smile fading just a bit. "But we can't let our guard down. People are still waiting for us back at the base. We don't know when those beasts will come back, so we need to keep moving."
The group, still taking in the unexpected reunion, nodded thoughtfully. Gunther's survival was a small victory, the main victory is completing the expedition altogether.
"Okay, let's get back to the truck. We'll talk more on the way," Gunther said, his voice steady, as if he was already planning their next move in the back of his mind.
