'So I got fucking lied to then' I think as I make my way up to Nezu's office. After we got back from the exam grounds I was able to stall for two days before Aizawa forced me to go talk to Midnight, only for me to show up and have her tell me that I was actually going to be talking to Nezu. Don't get me wrong, I like the smart chimera, but he's still much smarter than a human and could probably pick apart anything I tell him.
Knocking on the door I hear his voice telling me to enter and so I push open the door. As usual his office is neat with a few more books than last time, and a little paper dragon sitting on his desk. "How thematic." I say blandly as I sit on the couch opposite of him as he sips his tea "It was given to me by a peer of your who also had a talk with me." he grins as I sigh "Katsumi?" "Correct, after her and Midoriya had their disagreement she came and talked to me on a variety of topics, you just happened to be a few of them." great, now I got this to deal with later.
"Do not waste my time, chimera. What do you need?" I ask getting straight to the point to not have to be in this room any longer. Setting his tea down Nezu gets a serious look on his face, "Well to begin with, the HPSC has been putting a bit of pressure on me because of our little stint with the exam." 'Of course they are' I roll my eyes "Then I recently finished analyzing that blood sample you gave me which has yielded interesting results." that catches my attention "What was so interesting about it?" I ask.
"Your blood contains several foreign DNA strands that don't match anything in our know database, and when I moved onto experimentation it showed extreme regenerative properties, even bringing back a lost limb. I'd love to do a bit more if you don't mind?" This could be a problem, I was no stranger to using blood from powerful beings to get stronger but I'd rather not empower those i would later have to fight as it could be troublesome 'Coward!' but at the same time it would be interesting to see just what this smart little creature could do. "Very well, as long as it doesn't harm me or end up in the hands of anyone else I don't mind giving you more at a later date." I say and he smiles before his phone goes off, he looks at it but shuts it off seeing it's nothing important as I make me a cup of tea.
We sit in silence for a few minutes drinking our tea before he speaks again, "What are your plans for the future?" a loaded question, a dangerous question "I plan on helping those in need while working towards my ultimate goal." I take a sip as he looks at me "And what would that goal be?" 'good tea.' I think as I look Nezu in the eye "Leaving the planet and finishing what I started." his eyes narrow but before he can say anything his phone goes off again, he answers this time and I listen to his thoughts and the voice on the phone as Nezu pales slightly.
"Sir, a group of people just attacked in Kamino ward, we think they were after AFO but we drove them back before they could reach him." the man on the line says as Nezu's mind races going through all the groups that would try and get to AFO, "Who were they?" he asks as the mans answers causes Carter to sit up in alarm, "It was a small group of about 10, dressed in red robes they just attacked without warning." he said as Nezu came to a conclusion similar to Carter's "Did they harm anyone?" "No, they only attacked the heroes on duty before being pushed back, what do we do?" "Sweep the area and get in contact with the HPSC we might need their help for this one." "Yes sir!"
Hanging up the phone Nezu looks me dead in the eye, "You know who attacked, don't you." It's not a question, but a statement since my body language is giving me away, but right now that's the last thing on my mind. "Yes, the same ones Star found me with." I say and his eyes widen "They wanted to get your attention, but for what?" he asks but I stand up "I'm going to check on AFO, and find out what those lunatics want." Nezu gets up to try and stop me but I rush the window and burst from in shifting to my Nightwing form and with a roar take off towards Kamino.
Rushing in Aizawa and All Might look at the shattered window in surprise as they see the black dot that is Carter speeding away, "What happened?" the asks as Nezu looks at them "I don't know, but he has something to do with it." he says but interrupts them before they can ask anything "I'll tell you when I know more, but start ramping up training for the students, they need to be ready for whatever is next." he says as Aizawa nods "I'll push forward the work studies program then." he says as he leaves to go talk to the students and Toshinori leaves his muscle form and sits down. "I feel so useless being unable to help." he lament as Nezu pats his leg "We still need your support , the children still need your guidance." 'But I fear it may not be enough.' Nezu thinks as he remembers the abominations he incinerated after using Carter's blood to make them, 'If this group is anything like we've been warned about, then Carter may be the only one we can truly rely on."
