Rivana smiled in response. "And here I was worrying that you were ignoring me and dining with your sweet Marisa."
Azrael's eyes gleamed with amusement at her comment. He leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "I realized there are better things to taste here."
Rivana blushed at his comment, her stomach fluttering as if filled with thousands of butterflies. Looking up at him, she asked softly, "Like?"
Azrael didn't reply but smirked in response. Leaning closer, he cupped her cheek and captured her lips in a tender kiss.
The world seemed to fade away as Rivana kissed him back, her worries and fears dissolving in his tight embrace. Her hands wrapped around his neck and Azrael leaned forward, deepening the kiss. She felt him hold her waist firmly with one hand, his other hand reaching for her nape to align her perfectly. Azrael kissed her as though they had been separated for years, his actions conveying how much he had missed her though they had been away only for a day.
