"Three months?"
Hearing Tsunade and the others' words, Mirai was momentarily stunned.
So that meant...
The Dragon Vein hadn't sent him back to the exact moment he left. Instead, he had arrived three months into the future.
"It seems that relying on the Dragon Vein for time travel isn't exactly reliable."
Mirai muttered to himself.
He had originally considered using the Dragon Vein's power to traverse time, but now it was clear that there were too many uncertainties involved.
Fortunately, this time, he had only leaped forward by three months. If it had been three years, or even thirty years, the entire shinobi world would have been thrown into chaos!
Thinking of this, Mirai felt a wave of relief wash over him.
He needed to be more cautious. Risking such things should be avoided in the future.
Seeing that Mirai had been silent for a while, Tsunade grew impatient and snapped,
"Hey! Are you even listening to us?!"
This guy had disappeared without a trace for three whole months, without a single word of explanation.
They had mobilized the entire Divine Nation's forces to search for him, yet they hadn't found even the slightest clue regarding his whereabouts.
Everyone had been on edge.
After all...
Mirai had previously spoken about the existence of the Otsutsuki Clan.
Other than those beings, who else could have made him disappear for such a long time?
Noticing the concern in Tsunade's voice, Mirai snapped back to the present and quickly explained, "I had something very important to take care of, but there were some unexpected complications, so I was delayed for a while."
"There's no need to worry. Right now, I'm the strongest there is."
Kurenai rushed forward and hugged him tightly, her voice trembling as she sobbed, "How could we not worry?"
"Mirai, I haven't eaten properly or slept well these past days..."
Hearing Kurenai's soft complaints, Mirai felt warmth bloom in his heart.
He gently patted her head and whispered, "Don't worry. Tonight, I'll make sure you sleep like a baby."
"Mmm."
Once Kurenai finally released him, Mirai pulled Sara forward and introduced her to the group.
"Let me introduce you—this is Sara, Queen of Roran."
At his words, everyone, including Tsunade, looked visibly surprised.
"Queen of Roran?"
"You mean the Roran that disappeared long ago?"
Seeing their puzzled expressions, Mirai briefly recounted the events that had transpired within the Dragon Vein.
Only then did the women understand—Mirai had gone missing for three months simply because of a miscalculation in the Dragon Vein's temporal energy.
The power of time was truly terrifying.
Rin tugged at Mirai's sleeve and softly pleaded, "Mirai, can you stop taking such dangerous risks in the future?"
"For you, it may have been just a few short days, but for us, every day of those three months felt like a year..."
Although Konan, Uchiha Mikoto, and Princess Rinko remained silent, their eyes held the same pleading look.
Feeling the weight of their concern, Mirai dropped his usual playful demeanor and solemnly nodded.
"I promise, unless I'm absolutely certain, I won't take such risks again."
Some people found excessive worry from loved ones annoying, but Mirai didn't.
As a transmigrator, he had once spent over ten years alone in isolation.
Only after experiencing loss did one truly learn to cherish what they had.
After reassuring them, Mirai personally had his shadow clone prepare a grand feast.
One reason was to welcome Sara, and the other was to make up for the worry he had caused Tsunade and the others.
Of course, the real event of the evening—the post-dinner 'bonding activity'—was Mirai's specialty.
He was confident that no matter how upset Tsunade and the others were, after tonight, all grievances would vanish into thin air.
...
The next day, nearing noon, Mirai finally took Sara to visit the settlement where Salle and the others now lived.
As they walked through Konoha's streets, Sara constantly gasped in awe.
Everything about the village felt incredibly advanced to her.
Seeing her amazement, Mirai chuckled. "Sara, you're a queen. Shouldn't you maintain some royal composure?"
Sara huffed. "I'm not a queen anymore. From now on, I only have one identity—your wife."
With that, her eyes wandered back to the fascinating sights around her.
The future truly was beautiful.
When they arrived at the settlement, Salle and the others were busy repairing their homes.
Although Konoha had provided them with a place to live, they still had to build their own houses.
After all...
Not everyone could be like Mirai and simply clap their hands to create a fully furnished villa.
As soon as they saw Mirai and Sara approaching, Salle and the others eagerly rushed forward.
Upon seeing Sara, Salle and Yako couldn't help but exclaim, "Sara-sama, even after ten years, you still look just as young and beautiful as when we last saw you!"
Sara, however, froze in place, momentarily lost in thought.
In her memory, they had only been apart for a single day.
Yet now, Salle and Yako had aged into middle-aged men and women...
No wonder Tsunade and the others had reacted so strongly when she first returned.
The power of time was truly terrifying.
Seeing Sara remain silent, Mirai stepped in and asked, "How is everything? Have you been settling in well?"
Salle beamed. "Of course! This is the best place we've ever lived."
Sara, now regaining her composure, asked curiously, "Salle, Yako, can you tell me what happened after I left?"
Yako nodded and recalled, "After you and Mirai-sama departed that day, the Dragon Vein ceased to function."
"All of Roran's facilities stopped working, but thankfully, Mirai-sama had left us with sufficient funds."
"We shared some of the gold with those who wished to leave on their own, and the rest of us formed a caravan, traveling between different nations."
"During our journeys, we heard rumors about Mirai-sama. Many of our companions doubted his promise and chose to leave..."
"But after nearly ten years of wandering, we finally made it through."
Listening to Yako's account, Sara lowered her gaze and said solemnly,
"Salle, Yako, you've worked hard all these years."
Salle and Yako quickly bowed. "Sara-sama, you have already given us the greatest reward."
"As long as you allow it, we will always be your people."
Seeing their hopeful expressions, Sara smiled and took Mirai's arm.
"The past is in the past. From now on, there is no more Roran, and no more queen. We are all citizens of the Divine Nation."
