Inside the grand tower palace.
Salle and Yako had been summoned by Sara, and for the first time, they stepped into the ruling quarters that symbolized the highest authority in the Land of Roran.
Gazing at the elevated throne, both of them felt a surge of emotion.
"So this is where Her Majesty handles state affairs?" Yako couldn't help but marvel. "It's truly magnificent."
Salle nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of irony.
"Thinking back... we actually kidnapped Her Majesty once. It's almost laughable now."
"Yako, why do you think Her Majesty summoned us? Could it be to punish us?"
Yako rolled her eyes. "You're such a coward. Her Majesty isn't that petty. There must be another reason."
As they spoke, Mirai and Sara entered the chamber.
Sara was dressed in her queenly attire, radiating elegance and grace.
Mirai, though clad in his usual outfit, exuded a presence that rivaled hers.
He walked straight to the throne and sat down without hesitation, while Sara stood obediently by his side.
In Roran, such an act was considered highly disrespectful.
Even if a queen married, her husband was never permitted to claim authority over the throne.
However, neither Salle nor Yako showed any signs of disapproval.
Over the past two weeks, they had learned all about how Uchiha Mirai had defeated Anrokuzan.
Every citizen of Roran knew that without him, their kingdom would have fallen into Anrokuzan's hands, turning them all into slaves.
Their respect for him ran deep, making his unconventional behavior something they readily accepted.
"Salle, Yako, from now on, you two will be in charge of all Roran's affairs."
Sara spoke directly, wasting no time.
The two were taken aback. "Your Majesty, what do you mean by this?"
Sara glanced at Uchiha Mirai, then said calmly, "I am leaving Roran."
"What?!"
Their eyes widened in shock, unable to believe what they had just heard.
"Your Majesty, are you abandoning your most loyal subjects?"
Sara shook her head with a bitter smile. "How could I? But for certain reasons, I must leave."
Salle and Yako exchanged glances, then turned their eyes to Uchiha Mirai.
Roran was an isolated land in the middle of a vast desert—perhaps Mirai simply didn't want to stay here, and so he was taking Her Majesty with him.
Though reluctant, they had no power to change the situation.
Salle hesitantly asked, "Your Majesty, we can take care of Roran's people in your absence... but without the power of the Dragon Vein, how will we survive?"
In the depths of the desert, life without the Dragon Vein was impossible.
Hearing this, Mirai raised his hand, and from the gourd at his waist, a torrent of golden sand poured out.
Before their eyes, the sand accumulated into a small mountain of gold.
"This should be enough. Whether you use it to trade, relocate, or build anew—it will sustain you and the people of Roran for a long time."
"When the name of Emperor Uchiha Mirai echoes across the shinobi world, come to Konoha."
"I will grant you the right to settle there."
Salle and Yako were dumbfounded.
Whether it was the glittering pile of gold or the promise of a future in Konoha, both were far beyond their imagination.
It took them a long time to recover from their shock.
Salle swallowed hard and asked, "Lord Mirai... who exactly are you?"
"Can we really be allowed to settle in Konoha?"
Mirai gave him a calm look. "Are you questioning me?"
Salle immediately knelt. "I wouldn't dare."
Mirai retrieved a scroll from his robes—something given to him by the Salle of the future.
Handing it over, he said, "If you arrive in Konoha and find that I have forgotten you, present this scroll to me."
Salle and Yako carefully accepted it without a word.
"That settles everything. This is farewell."
As Uchiha Mirai finished speaking, a pitch-black portal materialized before him.
Holding Sara's hand, he stepped forward, and in the blink of an eye, they vanished from the palace.
Salle and Yako stood frozen in shock.
With their knowledge, they couldn't begin to comprehend a space-time jutsu like Yomotsu Hirasaka.
To them, Uchiha Mirai seemed no different from a god of legend.
After a long silence, Salle muttered, "Yako... what should we do?"
Yako swallowed as she stared at the mound of gold before them. Taking a deep breath, she said,
"We do as Lord Mirai instructed."
"With this much gold, we won't struggle for survival."
"Though we may have to leave our homeland... if it means settling in Konoha, the people will surely agree."
—
Mirai and Sara reappeared at the source of the Dragon Vein, where its energy raged wildly.
Even Mirai was surprised by its power.
"Sara, I'm going to seal the Dragon Vein."
"When the time comes, hold on to me."
Sara nodded nervously. "I understand."
After reassuring her, Uchiha Mirai began setting up a sealing barrier.
Drawing from memory, he inscribed a Double Four Symbols Seal reinforced by three Eight Trigrams Seals.
Once the preparations were complete, he used his Shikotsumyaku to craft a kunai.
"Seal!"
With a soft command, the Dragon Vein's energy was completely cut off.
A pillar of violet light erupted once more, engulfing them as their figures began to fade.
Whoosh!
The light vanished, and with it, Mirai and Sara disappeared.
—
When Sara opened her eyes again, awe filled her face.
"Is this... the future?"
She looked around at the ruins before her.
"That's right. These are the remains of Roran."
Hearing Uchiha Mirai's confirmation, her expression grew somber.
She had spent her entire life in Roran. Seeing it in ruins with her own eyes filled her with sorrow.
Lost in thought, she asked, "Mirai... what do we do now?"
Mirai closed his eyes, sensing the Dragon Vein's energy, then spoke softly.
"Help me control it. I'm going to seal it within my body."
"Eh?"
"You're going to seal it inside yourself?!"
"That's too dangerous!"
Sara's eyes widened in alarm.
Even the madman Anrokuzan had only used puppets to harness the Dragon Vein's power.
Its energy was too wild—only lifeless constructs could withstand it.
If Mirai sealed it within his own body...
With the frailty of human flesh, wouldn't he be torn apart instantly?!
