After someone came in to tell Eric that the people were finished gathering in the square, Eric led us out onto a balcony overlooking the crowd.
Holy shit, that's a lot of people. Oh boy, this is a lot of pressure. I was never that good at public speaking in my last life, and this may be the largest crowd I've ever seen.
"Greetings one and all!" Eric started speaking to the crowd. "Today this kingdom will become a vassal to his majesty, King Titus, the king of the forbidden forest, the ruler of the elves, the amazons, and the fairies! I know that this must come as a surprise to all of you, but I assure you, this will be good for our country!"
Eric went on for quite a while. First, he told them that I cured the queen's illness and saved her life. Come to think of it, I'm sure there are plenty of commoners suffering similar illnesses. I should probably cure some more people while I'm here.
