"Miss Veridane, what an honor to have you grace us with your presence, despite your busy schedule," Richard Morne says smoothly, his voice carrying the effortless charm of a man who's spent years at the top.
Elysia smiles, the picture of elegance.
"Oh my, the pleasure is mine. As you know, Morne Enterprises and Celestial Grace have been long-standing partners. It's only natural that I come to offer my congratulations."
Richard hums in acknowledgment before shifting topics. "Speaking of congratulations, I heard your guild recently conquered an A-Class dungeon—the Fire Lizard's Nest, wasn't it?"
Elysia waves a delicate hand. "Oh no, no. That was all thanks to Mr. Hwan here."
At her words, Richard finally acknowledges my presence, his sharp blue gaze settling on me. The same blue eyes as his daughter's.
"Mr. Hwan," he says, measured. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"
