"That was."
"A shadow clone?"
"Well done."
"Kakashi, that guy."
At the Seventh Training Ground:
Sparks of lightning flashed continuously, illuminating the entire sky in a pale glow.
In the distance, Asuma, Guy, Genma, and others watched in amazement.
Out from behind Anko burst a figure, clutching a blade of lightning, striking forward with blinding speed.
They all widened their eyes in awe.
Using a shadow clone as a feint, the real body hidden nearby.
When the enemy thought they had the upper hand and let down their guard, he struck from behind, aiming for a critical blow. A flawless tactic indeed.
"Zzzz..."
In an instant, with a flash of lightning:
Anko, who had been about to strike Kakashi's shadow clone with her twin blades, suddenly found herself facing Kakashi's real body, gathering a powerful Chidori to attack her from behind.
"Oh?" A slight smile formed at the corner of Anko's lips.
She didn't stop her attack, instead, her blades, glowing with electric power, fiercely struck Kakashi's shadow clone.
At that moment, something unexpected happened.
A mysterious seal symbol appeared at the back of Anko's neck, rotating intensely and transforming into a strange vortex.
It pulled Kakashi's Chidori away from a distance, absorbing it completely.
Stunned, Kakashi froze in place, his hand still tingling from the stolen lightning power. He looked blankly at his hand, now void of any Chidori.
"Zzzz..."
In that instant, the lightning energy surged back toward Anko, erupting with an intense force that should have overwhelmed her.
But Anko remained calm, clutching her lightning-infused twin blades, absorbing the energy effortlessly with a mysterious pulse that left her unharmed.
"Zzzz..."
With wild lightning energy radiating outward, Kakashi staggered backward, his gaze fixed on Anko, who stood bathed in electricity.
"What?"
"She actually absorbed his Chidori from a distance."
"That must be the power of that rare Kekkei Genkai, the Dark Release."
From the distance, Guy, Asuma, Aoba, and others watching had their eyes locked in disbelief.
"Is this really the Anko we know?"
"Heh, don't underestimate Anko now." Kurenai, observing the entire scene, smiled proudly.
"Using a Lightning Clone. As expected of the 'Copy Ninja' Kakashi."
Even Anko couldn't help but admire Kakashi's tactics.
She had only recently acquired the Lightning Blades, barely having time to practice her dual-sword style and hadn't yet unlocked their full potential.
If not for Kiyoshi's advice about the weaknesses in her Dark Release, she might have really been in trouble today.
To counter sneak attacks, she had modified her Dark Release, even inscribing an invisible seal on her neck to trigger from behind.
"Zzzz..."
Lightning crackled again as everyone watched in astonishment.
Anko suddenly thrust her twin blades into the ground and extended her hand, releasing Kakashi's stolen Chidori.
"The Dark Release can absorb chakra and ninjutsu, even transferring and using it as one's own."
Kakashi's eye twitched slightly as he looked at the electric Chidori crackling in her hand.
Frustrated, he dusted off his clothes and muttered, "I feel like you're more suited to be called the 'Copy Ninja' than I am."
After all, his treasured Chidori, which he'd honed with so much effort, was snatched so easily. At least she wasn't a real enemy, he thought.
"Hey, giving up already?" Anko looked puzzled, holding his Chidori, ready to attack.
"You've won," Kakashi replied with a shrug, lowering his headband to cover his Sharingan. With his hands in his pockets, he lazily walked away.
"Fighting any longer would just be pointless."
Today was actually meant to be a reunion arranged by Kurenai, Guy, Asuma, and their other classmates, celebrating his departure from the Anbu.
The original plan was for Guy to challenge him as usual, but Anko, eager to test her newfound power, jumped in instead.
With Kurenai, Guy, Asuma, Genma, and the others cheering them on, he had been dragged into it.
He'd already had a taste of Anko's skills.
Although combat between ninja is often unpredictable, and Dark Release isn't a guaranteed victory, her strength was undeniably formidable.
And since this wasn't a real life-or-death battle, continuing would only drag things out.
"Too much trouble," he thought.
"Kakashi."
Watching him walk away so indifferently, Anko's eyes narrowed, a hint of frustration in her expression. "That lazy jerk."
She released the Chidori, gripping her Lightning Blades and prepared to charge after him.
But suddenly, Kurenai appeared before her in a flash, blocking her path with a swift Body Flicker Jutsu.
"All right, Anko, that's enough." Kurenai said with a warm smile. "Today's just a reunion. You'll have plenty of chances to challenge Kakashi."
"Tch, so boring."
Disappointed, Anko grumbled, looking frustrated. "Next time, I'll beat that slacker Kakashi for sure."
