Who wondered who had the nerves and the balls to pull something like this? First, there was the news about one of his banks being hit, with everyone inside there being killed and his money and product gone.
Now, this attempt on his life that was clearly aimed to miss, had him on edge. He knew he could have been hit by the shooter easily, as the man who was shot had been slightly farther away from him.
'Could it be Enzo or Cerino trying to make a move on me in this wild time?' Vito thought as he jumped into the SUV with his men, the door slamming shut behind him. 'Or is it some random fucker trying to create chaos in the Bronx, similar to what happened in Queens?' he wondered as the car drove off.
As Don Vito contemplated who his potential enemies might be, his driver focused on getting them out of there, followed by two other SUVs providing cover for them.
