"Was it Bai Meiyue?" Bai Feng ignored the flattering words of the guard and asked him the burning question that he wanted to ask. Even though he had a sick suspicion that it was Bai Meiyue who left the parking lot, what Bai Feng needed was not suspicion or doubts but confirmation.
"It was her," the guard promptly replied with a nod. He paused and then asked, "Brother Bai, that woman and her team went out just a few days ago and just returned. Why are they leaving the building every day?"
"How am I supposed to know that?" Bai Feng stated, with agitation leaking in his voice. There was a time when he and Bai Meiyue were like the closest siblings and yet now the two of them didn't even talk. They were like strangers.
