Avalyn Word looked at a large lake from her spot near the top of a tree.
'This sucks.'
She wanted to take a bath so bad but she couldn't risk taking her armor off for such a prolonged amount of time.
Being defenseless in a situation such as the one she was in currently was just begging to be sneak attacked.
She looked around the area using her [All-seeing eye], trying to find some prey for her to hunt.
'That should do.'
She spotted a herd of two-meter-tall goats.
'Just need to kill one of them, and draw the others away.'
Her feet gained a faint green glow as she prepared to jump.
She moved quickly but carefully through the trees till she reached the group.
She looked down at them as they walked through the grass.
She looked around, trying to spot a good target.
Then she crouched prepared for her attack.
'If I keep out of sight and attack, it should cause them to panic and scatter, if not, I can just kill them anyway.'
She located the biggest and the most powerful one and gathered her energy to attack.
A moment later, a glowing orange symbol appeared on its face.
It startled and bleated, drawing attention to it.
Then the symbol exploded, blowing its head to pieces.
The surrounding goats panicked and started to flee, causing a ruckus and alerting the remaining goats.
This was one of the rewards that Lyn obtained from the first event. [Targeting gaze]
It allowed her to mark everything that she could see with a variety of symbols.
The one she had used just now was the 'Bomb symbol', which is self-explanatory.
But for a mark to form, she needs to maintain sight of the targeted location for a minimum of three seconds, making it not very effective against multiple opponents, but against single targets, it is very effective.
Another symbol formed on another face, which exploded as well.
Now all the goats were running.
Lyn waited for a moment before jumping down.
The glow on her legs dissipated after she landed.
The second of her rewards: [Blessing of the wind]
This gave her movement a good boost, while also granting her minor aerokinesis and empowering her wind magic by a small amount.
She reached one of the corpses, and after giving her surroundings a quick check, she started to cut it open.

Meanwhile, Reed was taking a shower.
He was underground next to a running stream.
He had made a small water system that siphoned water from the stream and heated it before pouring it down on him from a showerhead he created using 'Item creation'.
He sighed as he recalled all the things that he had made with this skill.
'This skill is so unbalanced.'
He had thought that he needed to at least know something about the items he had created.
He was wrong.
He didn't know what made it so, the system or the mana, but he could literally make anything as long as he used enough mana.
'That is so ridiculous.'
He didn't need to spend months or years learning about materials and physics to make complicated machinery, now he could just will it into existence as long as he had enough mana at hand.
This opened up so many possibilities for him.
Over the past two months, he had made so many things that his system storage was close to full.
He shut off the water flow and made a towel to dry himself off.
He dropped the towel and put on his clothes and armor.
He destroyed the light, put his hand on the wall, and used his mana to open a hole to the surface.
He jumped out of it and collapsed the small opening in the ground.
He opened his map and looked at the distance he had traveled.
He swiped the screen, changing it to display the radar. He looked around his surroundings.
The terrain was too uneven to use his motorcycle, and he had just one other vehicle.
'It's not that risky.'
He hadn't used it before because he didn't know the threats that were present in this world, but now he had made his observations, and his deductions told him that he use it without much worry.
He removed and swapped out some of his armor and brought out a large object that resembled a hang glider with some differences.
The first difference was that it had five thrusters. A big one for the vehicle's main source of acceleration, and the other four were spaced evenly on either side for easier turning.
Other than that, it had many runes all over it that Reed had painted.
Reed checked it over two times then crouched.
A symbol with three arrows rising from a horizontal line started glowing on top of the vehicle and on Reed's back as well, it was the rune for 'Anti-gravity'.
Reed jumped, leaping dozens of meters into the air.
Then he positioned himself as he started to descend, gliding through the air.
Then he tightened his grip on the glider as some machinery emerged from the glider. A curved transparent cover appeared in front of him, shielding him from air resistance, and parts resembling cupholders emerged near his feet, which he placed into them.
All the thrusters started glowing, and then they all activated, shooting out concentrated white energy, causing Reed to accelerate forward and slightly down.
He pulled up as he neared some tree tops, and ascended to about a hundred meters above the trees.
A symbol that did not look like anything in particular lit up, and Reed and his vehicle disappeared from human sight.
Reed let out a 'Tsk' as he flew through the air.
'Need to put in a barrier for air resistance. But other than that...'
He looked down at the scenery as he flew overhead.
'This is amazing!'
His grin was hidden by the three layers under his helmet. He had never flown like this in his entire life, and this new experience was very thrilling for him.
He looked around the horizon and spotted a few mountains in the distance.
'Lucky I have this then.'
He chuckled to himself as a soft sound of clinking sounded.
Reed did not pay it any mind.
The sound was that of a mechanism pushing out a white mana core the size of a fist.
The core disintegrated the moment it met the rushing wind, disappearing from the world.
