Raelynn stirred from her sleep, her body reluctant to wake up as she sank deeper into the warmth that surrounded her. It felt safe, comforting, unlike the usual cold emptiness she woke up to. A part of her wanted to stay like this forever, wrapped in the soft embrace of something—or rather, someone.
Her lashes fluttered as she slowly cracked open her eyes, the afternoon light filtering through the curtains casting a golden glow across the room.
Raelynn let out a slow, contented sigh as she shifted slightly, feeling the warmth enveloping her. It was… nice. Cozy. A little too comfortable for an afternoon nap in the office, but she wasn't about to question it just yet.
It had been a good sleep. A good nap.
When was the last time I had a nap like this?
