Nova sprawled out on the sofa, still thinking about Magneto dropping by out of nowhere. Total curveball—but honestly? It turned out way better than he expected. They both walked away with more than they came for, and he got something seriously wild out of it: an Anodite transformation. One of the strongest magical species out there.
He fiddled with the Omnitrix on his wrist, turning the dial until a hologram popped up. A glowing figure appeared—hair like living light, eyes practically beaming.
"Yep… definitely not your average alien."
With this form, he felt like he could actually start chasing those big dreams of his. Ever since awakening his X-Gene, unlocking his system, and getting the Omnitrix, he'd been riding high. No lie—he got way too confident.
Looking back, "overconfident" was probably putting it lightly. He'd started thinking like one of those cocky main characters in a power fantasy—untouchable, unstoppable, like the world should just move out of his way.
But all that confidence? It shattered with a single punch—from Morlun.
He'd gone into that fight cocky, even stupid. Instead of going full alien, he chose the human fusion transformation, thinking he could show off and still win. Big mistake. A near-deadly mistake. He barely made it out alive.
Since then, something in him changed. That brush with death planted a seed of fear—not the kind that froze him, but the kind that reminded him he wasn't invincible. Deep down, he'd made a quiet decision: no more frontlines until he was truly ready. Until he was strong enough to crush anything that stood in his way.
And he knew—he knew—that mindset was flawed.
Power without experience was just a fancy way to die slower. It didn't matter how strong he got if he didn't learn how to use it, when to use it, and when to back off. Strength without control wasn't power—it was a liability.
But that cautious thinking? It came with its own set of problems. He wasn't rushing into fights anymore, sure—but now he was overthinking, overcontrolling, and sometimes, straight-up lying. And those lies? They were starting to catch up with him.
Take Harry Potter, for example. He straight-up told the guy about his Wish ability and the Omnitrix. Just laid it out like it wasn't a big deal. He hadn't meant to—it just kinda slipped out in the heat of conversation. Overconfidence mixed with trying to show off? Classic.
With his closer friends, he was a little more careful. They knew about the Wish ability—he didn't really hold back there—but when it came to the Omnitrix? He kept that part vague. Just enough to explain a few alien tricks here and there, but never the full story. He didn't want them knowing that the wristwatch was basically a galaxy-tier game-changer.
And then there was the mutant group.
To them, he sold a lie—smooth, believable, and totally fake. He told them his "mutant ability" was this complex energy manipulation power, carefully crafted to match the effects of his system. Every ability he showed them was filtered through that lens. They bought it, of course. Why wouldn't they? Mutant powers were weird and unpredictable by nature. A system that could do just about anything? Yeah, it passed.
But all of this—every half-truth, every redirection—was just another symptom of that same fear. That same obsession with being ready before stepping into the spotlight again. And in trying so hard to control the narrative, he was making things messier.
He wasn't sure what would blow up first—the secrets, or the trust he was putting at risk.
He'd gotten so caught up in everything—the powers, the secrets, the missions—that he completely lost sight of his normal life. The life his parents had dreamed for him.
They didn't want him buried in battles or tangled in lies. They wanted him to be happy. To live freely. To help out at the little café they'd poured their hearts into. A quiet, simple dream… one he'd been steadily ignoring.
And the worst part? It wasn't because he didn't care. He did. He'd even set everything up—he hired staff, made sure the place could run smoothly without him. But still… he kept hesitating. Kept putting it off.
And for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why.
That hesitation, that pull in his chest—it didn't make sense. And the not knowing? It was eating at him. Frustrating. He had the power. He had the freedom. But something inside just wouldn't let him rest.
No more.
He sat up straighter, the flickering hologram of the Anodite still glowing in front of him.
He needed to snap out of it. No more drifting, no more hiding behind excuses. It was time to take control—not just of his powers, but of his life.
His choices. His dreams. His direction.
Not someone else's story.
Not fate's.
His own.

So, taking a deep breath, Nova leaned back and closed his eyes for a moment, letting the hum of the hologram fade into the background. No more running in circles. No more second-guessing. It was time to get his head straight.
Let's start simple, he thought. A list. A clear one. Which will help me sort this messy life oh mine.
First on the list—his personal life.
In just a few days, high school would be over. And as planned, he wasn't going to continue studying. No college, no university. He'd go back to working at the café like his parents had always hoped. A quiet, simple life. At least, that was the idea.
But despite setting everything up—the staff, the shifts, the automation—he still hadn't gone back. He kept hesitating, and it was frustrating. He didn't know why. It wasn't like he hated it. Maybe he just got too used to everything else: the powers, the systems, the nonstop pace. Slowing down felt... weird.
Next came the serum plans and Oscorp.
Harry trusted him completely. That trust had let them do things fast. They modified the Lizard Serum, split it into controlled parts, and designed it in a way that would strengthen Harry's hold over Oscorp. Sure, he was the biggest shareholder, but that didn't mean the board couldn't gang up and cause trouble.
So their options were simple. Try to win the board over—not likely. Buy them out—possible. Or, in the worst-case scenario, get rid of them permanently.
Nova didn't think Peter would ever agree to the last option. Maybe not even Harry. So buying out their shares? That was the cleanest play.
Tomorrow was the big day—the day Harry and the others would inject the serums. Nova had already finished the formulas in a single night using Grey Matter's enhanced intellect. But he'd kept that quiet, letting Peter and the rest feel like they were fully involved in the process. He didn't want to overshadow them or make it seem like he was doing everything. Still, he made sure they didn't overlook anything important or make critical mistakes.
Now, the serums were ready. Fully tested. Stable. Inject-and-go.
As for Nova himself? He had no intention of using them. Physically, he was already on par with early-stage Captain America—right after the Super Soldier Serum kicked in. And over time, with experience and training, he'd only gotten stronger.
But more importantly, he was preparing for something else. Something far more ambitious.
He was going to rewrite his base DNA. Not just tweak it—transform it completely.
He'd already begun the simulations. He was going to integrate three magical sources directly into his biology: the structured spell-weaving of the Harry Potter world, the raw, reality-warping Chaos Magic of the Scarlet Witch, and the vibrant, living energy of the Anodites.
Three forms of magic that didn't belong together.
Three forces no one in their right mind would ever think to mix.
But he could. In fact, the results of his simulations had come out positive. These three sources of magic would rotate inside his soul—probably. The simulation wasn't entirely clear on that part. It had taken a lot of Grey Matter's brain cells just to get that far.
Metaphorically, the three energies would orbit one another like celestial bodies—separate but connected, balancing each other. Even so, there was a real danger that they could go berserk without something to hold them together.
That's where his X-Gene came in.
His Wish ability wasn't just rare—it was Omega-level. A true reality-warping power. Even though he couldn't directly use it on himself, it was still one of the highest-ranking mutant abilities out there.
So that would be the core.
His mutant ability would act as the stabilizing force—the anchor that kept the three magic types in balance. A binding agent and regulator all in one. If it worked, they would operate in mutual support, reinforcing one another rather than tearing him apart.
But he cannot introduce all three energies at same time. They will go berserk and destroy his body before he could think about anything.
So first he will introduce the magic of Harry Potter world. This will help his body gets used to presence of energies. As his body adapts to it, it may take some time. Even his calculation didn't give specific time it will take. So after his body adapts he will introduce Anodite DNA and at last he will introduce Choas Magic.
This is due to the fac...
Nova got interrupted as his mobile vibrated.
NERD:- Hey Nova! We are going to Oscorp for sight seeing and some serum related works. Then we will spend night at Harry's mansion. Wanna join?
Just as Nova was going to reply, another message appeared.
MAY:- Hey Baby, Peter is going to Oscorp and will spend night at Harry's place. Are you going too?? Leaving me alone. *Emoji* 🥺🥺
*Ding! May sent a picture*
Nova raised his eyebrows and tapped on the picture. His nostrils flared as he saw:
May was sprawled out on her bed, wearing nothing but a thin string of lingerie that looked more decorative than functional. The fabric was sheer—so sheer it may as well have not been there at all. Her skin glistened under soft lighting, and her body was slick with oil, every curve catching the light in all the wrong—or right—ways.
There was a bottle of lube tipped over beside her, a teasing trail of it across her thigh like an open invitation. Her expression? Smug. Dangerous. Playful. Like she knew exactly what kind of chaos she was causing in his head.
He could practically hear her voice in his mind:
"Still gonna leave me all alone?"
His nostrils flared. His jaw clenched.
"I'm supposed to be thinking about DNA infusions," he muttered, rubbing his temples. "Not… that."
His phone buzzed again.
MAY: "Thought this might help you decide. Still planning to spend the night with the boys?"
Nova took a deep breath, he is so going to ruin that sexy ass of hers tonight.
