Gwen, who had been quietly absorbing all this, finally spoke. "Okay, but back to Harry Potter for a second—you have access to Hogwarts' knowledge up to the fourth year, does that mean you have a copy of their library?"
Felicia's eyes gleamed. "Ohhh, now that sounds useful."
Nova shook his head." Nope, I traded all this knowledge inexhange for information on Horcrux's locations, identity, creation and destruction information."
Pietro blinked before letting out a laugh. "Wait, wait, wait—you're telling me you traded actual magical knowledge for information that we literally saw in a movie?"
Felicia smirked. "Damn, that's the best scam I've ever heard. You got real magic in exchange for spoilers?"
MJ shook her head in mock disbelief. "You better pray Warner Bros. doesn't find out. I'm suing you for copyright infringement."
Nova rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. If anything, they should be paying me for accurate lore. The movies barely scratched the surface of how Horcruxes actually work." He leaned forward, his smirk unwavering. "And let's get one thing straight—I don't do unfair trades. You think I'd hand over high-level magical knowledge for basic plot points? No. What I gave them was valuable, but what I got in return was just as significant. Knowledge that could change everything."
Felicia let out a low whistle. "Damn, now that's dramatic."
Pietro smirked. "So what, you tell them 'Voldemort hid his soul in cursed objects' and they just hand over centuries of magical research?"
Nova crossed his arms, his expression unwavering. "Not exactly. I didn't just tell them what Horcruxes were—I handed them the keys to their entire war." His voice carried an edge of certainty, his words heavy with meaning. "I gave them exact locations, detailed breakdowns of their creation, and even ways to destroy them efficiently. Not just swinging a sword and hoping for the best, but precise methods that would ensure Voldemort wouldn't be able to regenerate or escape."
The weight of his statement settled over the group like a dense fog.
"That's not just information," Emma murmured, her sharp gaze analyzing him. "That's an absolute game-changer in a war. After all, information is—"
"Power," Nova finished smoothly, his smirk widening. "More than weapons, more than soldiers. The right knowledge, in the right hands, at the right time—that's what wins wars."
Emma nodded slowly, her expression unreadable. "And you handed them the ultimate advantage."
Nova shrugged. "I gave them the missing piece they needed to tip the scales. Without it, they were fighting blind, swinging in the dark against an enemy with literal immortality. Now? They have a chance to end it."
Pietro scoffed, shaking his head. "And in return, you got study guides?"
Nova chuckled. "In return, I got everything I needed to step into the world of magic without fumbling like a clueless first-year. Structure, history, techniques—the foundation to build something far greater."
He leaned back. "And let's be real, if Voldemort had won, that knowledge would've been useless to them anyway."
Emma's lips curled into a smirk. "A future for them, and an opportunity for you. Cold, calculated…" She met his gaze. "But undeniably fair."
Nova nodded. "Without that knowledge, the war would've dragged on, costing more lives—maybe even tipping in Voldemort's favor. They needed that edge. I didn't just sell them a few secrets; I changed the entire course of their fight." He leaned back slightly, his smirk returning. "And in return? I got structured magical theory—centuries of accumulated knowledge on spellcraft, enchantments, alchemy. Fundamentals that would've taken me years to piece together on my own."
Felicia let out a slow whistle. "So, let me get this straight—you basically gave them the cheat codes to winning their war, and they gave you textbooks?"
Nova chuckled. "Not just textbooks. Think of it as everything a Hogwarts student would learn up to their fourth year, perfectly compiled and accessible to me anytime I need it. Theory, practical applications, history. It's foundational—the kind of knowledge that lets you build upon it." He spread his hands. "And let's be real—what good would all that knowledge be to them if they lost the war?"
MJ folded her arms, tilting her head. "So, in a way… they got a future."
Nova's smirk deepened. "Exactly. That was the trade—a future for them, and a foundation for me. Equal exchange. No cheating, no loopholes, just fair trade."
Emma continued," So it's only till fourth year?
Nova nodded," Indeed it's only till fourth year for now, but it's gonna increase soon."
Wanda raised her eyebrows," How?"
Nova smiled," That's trade secret."
Felicia stretched her arms with a dramatic sigh. "Well, since none of us have magic, that library is pretty useless to us."
Pietro nodded. "Yeah, I mean, cool for you, I guess, but what are we supposed to do with a bunch of spellbooks?"
Nova chuckled. "Useless for all of you? Maybe. But for Wanda?" He smirked. "It's more than just useful—it's beneficial."
Wanda blinked, caught off guard. "Me? How?"
Instead of answering, Nova asked," What do you think is your mutant ability?"
Wanda frowned and a small sphere of red energy flickered into existence in front of her, pulsing softly. She frowned, staring at it. "Umm this red energy is my Mutant ability, as it basically a mix of telekinesis, mind reading and energy type ability."
Looking at the red sphere of red energy, Nova raised his eyebrows.. So this is the Chaos Magic. The reality-warping power—something that stood among the most dangerous forces in the universe, rivaling even the Phoenix Force. Seeing it up close, though, was still something else.
Suddenly Nova frowned, as his Omnitrix sent him a mental notification. A new function of Omnitrix which got unlocked recently.
[NEW DETECTION: A POWERFUL, ANCIENT, AND ORIGIN-SOURCE OF MAGIC DETECTED.]
The words flashed across his consciousness, and before he could process them, another line followed.
[SCANNING AVAILABLE…]
Then, something new—something that had never appeared before.
[UNIQUE ENERGY SIGNATURE MATCHES COSMIC-TIER ENTITIES. CLASSIFICATION: REALITY-WARPING MYSTIC ENERGY. KNOWN CORRELATION: ANODITE ENERGY STRUCTURE.]
Nova's eyes narrowed slightly. Anodite energy? Now that was interesting. He had expected the Omnitrix to recognize Chaos Magic as powerful, but the fact that it was comparing it to Anodite energy meant something deeper was at play. The Anodites were an entire species of pure mana, capable of feats that put most magic users to shame. And yet, even they had rules, structures, a foundation to their magic.
Chaos Magic… didn't.
The Omnitrix wasn't done.
[NEW ADAPTATION PROTOCOLS UNLOCKED.]
[POTENTIAL DNA ACQUISITION: HIGH-LEVEL MAGICAL ENTITY.]
[RECOMMENDATION: DIRECT SCAN TO UNLOCK ANODITE FORM.]
Nova's thoughts raced as he processed the implications. The Omnitrix had encountered countless alien lifeforms, but this was different. It was actively adapting to a force that technically wasn't even biological. It recognized Chaos Magic as an origin-source—something fundamental enough to warrant an entire DNA-based transformation.
He hadn't even activated a scan yet, but the Omnitrix was practically nudging him toward it.
[CAUTION: CHAOS ENERGY IS CLASSIFIED AS AN UNSTABLE REALITY-ALTERING FORCE. PROPER SYNCHRONIZATION REQUIRED TO PREVENT CATASTROPHIC INSTABILITY.]
Nova smirked slightly. Well, no shit. Even the Omnitrix knew this wasn't something to mess with carelessly. Chaos Magic wasn't just powerful—it was volatile. If not properly controlled, it could spiral out of hand in ways even cosmic entities feared.
He exhaled silently, considering his options. Scanning Wanda's energy could give him an Anodite form—one of the most powerful magic-based transformations possible. But that last warning meant there was a risk involved. Chaos Magic didn't play by the rules. If the Omnitrix didn't calibrate it properly, who knew what could happen?
Nova's gaze flickered to Wanda, who was still staring at the glowing orb in her palm, unaware of the notification storm raging in his mind. She has no idea what she's sitting on…
Seeing Nova gazing at Wanda without speaking, Gwen nudged his leg with her foot, her tone a mix of teasing and impatience. "Nova, if you're done staring at her like she's a puzzle you just solved, maybe clue the rest of us in?"
Nova blinked, then smirked, shaking his head. "Just thinking."
Felicia raised an eyebrow. "Thinking about what?"
Nova stretched his arms lazily. "Trade secret."
The room groaned collectively.
Pietro rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on. You clearly know something. Just spit it out."
Nova shrugged. "Maybe I do. Maybe I don't."
Wanda narrowed her eyes slightly, glancing between the glowing orb in her hand and Nova's unreadable expression. "If it has something to do with me, I have a right to know."
Nova tilted his head, smirking. "You do. And if you wanna know, we can talk business."
Gwen let out a dramatic sigh. "Of course. Should've known you wouldn't just tell us."
Felicia smirked. "So, what's the price?"
Nova chuckled. "Oh, nothing too crazy. Just something of equal value." He leaned back. "Knowledge for knowledge."
Emma, who had been watching silently, smiled slightly. "Classic trader move. You never give something for free."
Nova met her gaze, his smirk unwavering. "Information is power. And power? Well, that's never free."
Wanda glanced at the energy in her hand, then back at Nova. She could tell he wasn't bluffing—whatever he knew, it was something big. But was she willing to play his game to get it?
